Neos Reserva Java -- cigars meet booze, part II

    Neos Reserva Java. What is the difference between Reservas and Reservas Java, you say? Well, as the name says, they are wrapped in a Java wrapper, while Reservas are wrapped in a Besuki wrapper.

    Just like the Reservas, the Java counterpart has a very strong and extra sharp taste. Both have similar tastes, but the Java wrapper changes the taste of the cigar. And just like the Reservas, the strong flavor is absolutely overwhelming at about 2/3 of the cigar.

    Reserva Java are excellent cigars, meant to be enjoyed slowly. Another fine offering from Neos, which, in my book, makes Balgium better than the almighty Cuba in terms of taste.

    The huge success of the Tequila inspired me to revisit the experience, this time using Absinth instead of Tequila. I used "Absinth Liquor" (pfeh!), and after the treatement, I could hardly wait for the cigars to have dried so I could taste what promised to be an undoubtly sweet tasting batch of cigars.

    Finally, the cigars dried for five days, at which they were ripe and begging to be smoked.

    Upon lighting up, I was greeted by a jaw-dropping taste of licorice and spirits which absolutely blew my mind. This experiment took my taste buds to a whole new level of taste that made the blend of Versinthe and Reserva Java a sweet tasting cigar with roots in spirit-flavored grounds as well.

    Truly, spirit treating cigars has once again produced an instant classic.

    Final score: Without the Absinth treatement, I give Reserva Java a solid 8/10. After the Absinth treatement, I give my experiment a damn well deserved 9.5/10. Next on the list are Panter Noir...and quite possibly Panter Blue, too. Or Guantanamera Puritos, not sure yet.
