Here are today's Neverwinter Nights 2 forum highlights, collected by NWVault. Please take into account that these are only single parts of various threads and should not be taken out of context. Bear in mind also that the posts presented here are copied as-is, and that any bad spelling and grammar does not get corrected on our end.

    Dx7
And the point of this thread continuing to exist is...what exactly? Oh yeah...DX7. The final answer is "no", it won't be supported. DX9.0c or better will be required.

    Just out of curiosity, Devs,
I think our process is similar to the one Kalniel described. Posters on the forum have cumulatively logged a staggering amount of playtime on NWN1 and we pay attention to concerns that are brought up. Proposed solutions aren't discounted, it's just usually once a prospective problem is identified there are discussions about what (if anything) to do about it. And the gameplan often changes with feedback and further thought.Of course, not every problem a forum goer brings up gets action. Not many do. Often it's because we've already taken steps (we've thought a *lot* about the game, too :) ), solutions would be too costly, or we just disagree. Since most big issues no one agrees on anyway, that last bit shouldn't be a shocker.

Have the Tutorial have its own module
You can skip the tutorial and it's no big thing. The story doesn't require it. Given how competent you guys on the forums are, the tutorial really isn't designed with you in mind. Most of you just need a keyboard chart (if that) and you're off to the races. My belief is that the people that do need tutorials would also like to get to know the world a little while they're learning the ropes. And if we make the tutorial interesting enough for even the vets to play through once and enjoy, so much the better.
