Here are today's Neverwinter Nights 2 forum highlights, collected by NWVault from Obsidian Forums. Please take into account that these are only single parts of various threads and should not be taken out of context. Bear in mind also that the posts presented here are copied as-is, and that any bad spelling and grammar does not get corrected on our end.

    The Story
NWN1's main character allowed a player to have a lot of freedom in defining the background of the main character. That offers real advantages to the player. In NWN2, though, the protagonist has a history and has defined roots. The advantages of this is that the story can be a more personal and tailored experience (like Planescape: Torment). There are pluses and minuses to handling it one way or the other, so I figured I'd let you guys know which way NWN2 is going to handle it. Happy Friday.

    Players Voice
Short answer: there won't be a voice for the player during dialogue. The plan is to handle the player's voice like it was handled in NWN1.

    Graphics Engine
The NWN2 engine happily supports the animation of pretty much any kind of creature you can think of... snakes, things with tails, things with wings... and yes... even goo.

    More :
I know this is risky but I am going to ask anyways.. Does that mean theres a possibilty we will finally get slimes in this version of nwn?
I dont know if there are any actual plans for slime/ooze/goo/pudding or not, but there is no technical reason that I can think of to not include them. It'll all depend on how much you guys bug the design team to get them in.. Three cheers for goo, indeed.
