    The looks!

    Am I close? :)
Are you an employee?? Hmmm...that sounds spot on to what I watch go on here in the office every day.

    Improved Aurora in NWN2?

I would like to know about the terrain in NWN 2. Will it have hills and mountains that you can actually walk freely on? Not like higher areas that resemble plateus and have stair like entrances, but real inclines that you can control in the Aurora toolset.
    Yes.

    More:
Anything else would be ridiculous in a 2006 game.
We agree obviously, which is why we provided this functionality.
Quote: My question: how is this handled in terms of game mechanics? Where do you draw the line between what can be walked up and what can't? Perhaps this is handled by some sort of skill, or perhaps the game only allows you to create walkable inclines, and if you want something unpassable, you use the cliffs like now.
It's simple. You/we the level/terrain builder(s) simply flag areas that are allowed to be walked upon or not walked upon.
Quote: This also raises another question. Can we make cliffs higher than 1 tiles high?
Yes. Technically, you can make cliffs as high as you want now.

    Improved Aurora in NWN2?

Does this mean NWN 2 has broken the 2.5D barrier of NWN 1 to true 3D when discussing terrain?
    What exactly do you mean?

More: Okay, I gotcha. I'm not sure what ths status is of overlapping walk meshes. I know there was talk about it some time ago and I remember the result of the discussion was that it's "possible". Other than that, that's about all I know at this time.
