Here are today's Neverwinter Nights 2 forum highlights, collected by NWVault. Please take into account that these are only single parts of various threads and should not be taken out of context. Bear in mind also that the posts presented here are copied as-is, and that any bad spelling and grammar does not get corrected on our end.

    The looks!

If we have similar cababilities with the interiors of a structure, could we have things like long, sweeping stairways in and around a castle leading to an upper level by simply painting them in and flagging the stairs as a useable surface?I'm just curious if such will also apply to interiors and city exteriors as well because a module I had been working on in using the current toolset wasn't coming out they way I had sketched things out years ago in my notes because of the blocky layouts. I don't expect quite as grand as my own imaginings, but it would be nice to come reasonably close ;)
Interiors are quite a bit more tricky since there have to be walls, etc. that separate different rooms. For that reason, they don't lend themselves nearly as well to the "painting" concept. However, we have come up with what we believe is a good way to provide variety to interior tilesets. Unfortunately, I can't say much more about it at this time. The outdoor areas will be created as described above, which I believe is quite different than the way the original outdoor areas were created with the original toolset. I'm confident you guys/gals will love what's in store for outdoor area creation. ;)

    Windowed Mode?
Yes, it will have fully functioning windowed mode support.

    Quickslots (ie: more of them)
Like Erik said, you guys should have plenty of quick slots. So many you could be buried under a mountain of them and you'll need a rescue team to dig you out. Yup yup. :)

    So we know
There's still time. Depends on the idea, really. Some parts of the game would be hard to change now.

    NWN2 is showing at GameStop
Fine, fine... You've beat it out of us. The release date is Nightal 12th in the Year of Rogue Dragons. Now there - are you happy? :)
