Here are today's Neverwinter Nights 2 forum highlights, collected by NWVault. Please take into account that these are only single parts of various threads and should not be taken out of context. Bear in mind also that the posts presented here are copied as-is, and that any bad spelling and grammar does not get corrected on our end.

access to terrain mesh via scripting ?
No, you will not be able to do this. One of the main reasons for this is so that you can't "cheat" the game by altering the terrain to get to places where you shouldn't (or, alternately, get the terrain into a state where you can't finish the game).

    Anyone collecting the screenshots?
I think most of those screenshots were taken from the machine of our very own incredibly talented Justin Cherry. His machine ie pretty much one of our standard work machines.

    Model Quality and Consistency

I don't see how they are terrible :S These are just images directly from the toolset and they will probably look quite different while ingame, if that is what you mean...

Remember, the models didn't look all that good in the model viewer in the Aurora engine either.
Come on Fulgore...you should know better than this by now. Those shots are taken from the model viewer, which uses the in-game rendering engine. Therefore, what you see in the model viewer is what you'll see in the game.

With that being said, as previous posters in this thread have mentioned, there is (to some people) a bit of a disparity between some of the perceived quality of the models. We're aware of it, and we're working on it. ;) Obviously, the Bone Spider looks great and the methodologies used to create it are now making their way through the rest of the art dept. in regards to how new creatures are being created and also in regards to revisiting already existing creatures.

In the end I think and hope that everybody will be happy with the quality of the creatures they get. ;)

Oh yeah, did I mention...the Bone Spider rocks! :D

    Anyone collecting the screenshots?

That Dragon pic is actually a SCREENSHOT?
    Yes, it is. :D

AD - Does his workstation have a Ati or nVidia card? Just wondering if those screens show pixel shader 2 or 3. Thanks for any info.
Actually, those shots were taken on my machine which is a 3.0 machine. However, I can assure you they would have looked the same if they were taken on a 2.0 machine. ;)
