    Here are today's Neverwinter Nights 2 forum highlights, collected by NWVault. Please take into account that these are only single parts of various threads and should not be taken out of context. Bear in mind also that the posts presented here are copied as-is, and that any bad spelling and grammar does not get corrected on our end.

    Yeah, creating groupware functionality like that is out of the scope of what we want to accomplish with NWN2.

    More: The other problem is that DirectX doesn't work over Remote Desktop... :good:

    Landscapes and objects
    Trees are not actually set up the same way as normal placeables. That being said, you can have a huge variety as far as trees go. [​IMG]Just to reiterate, a lot of what you think of in NWN1 as being tied to a particular tile or tileset has been decoupled in NWN2. You have a lot more control over what goes where. :D

    NWN 2 Play it in 3d or 2d? Which would you prefer?
    Just in case it was still in question, NWN2 is definitely 3D...with lots of nice bells and whistles. :D

    You are probably right.. And Is it a problem ? (he has asked me first in fact...) Now all of the community have the colors screenshots that have been named unofficial.Then I am happy that everyone can benefit from these. And you?Then i suggest to stop here any rivality you seem to want to create between us... For the NwN's player. For the ambience... Thanks.
    And I think that pretty much settles it peacefully. Now that it's cleared up, the official stance is to wait for "official" screen shots before any discussion here. Thanks.

    Why wasnt this released before?
    I have been in multiple threads regarding this. So im just wondering why this isn't even stickied yet, since people have been dying to get screenshots.and....
    Just for the record...those are like 5+ months old. Things have progressed significantly since then.
    If this is indeed the case, why for gods sake, were they not released then???
    Because:a) They were intended for "internal" circulation only. That was intended to be a "mock up" of a proposed "example" of the advertisement...not the final advert. Why and how it got released we are not clear on, but it IS being addressed.b) They're filled with stand in art and the technology was still under heavy development.Those are just a few of the reasons. For the record, they are "unofficial". In fact, nothing official has yet been released in terms of screen shots. And until something "official" has been released we'd like to keep the discussion of screen shots and screen shot requests to a minimum on the forums. The policy will remain as it has been up to this point...those types of threads will be locked. As will this one. Thanks.
