Here are today's Neverwinter Nights 2 forum highlights, collected by NWVault. Please take into account that these are only single parts of various threads and should not be taken out of context. Bear in mind also that the posts presented here are copied as-is, and that any bad spelling and grammar does not get corrected on our end.

    "Expunged tile-based sytem"?
NWN2's terrain system is extremely easy to use. We might not have all the power of UE3s terrain software, but I think anyone who can use Paint can make something halfway decent with our tools from the start.

With some practice and time, you can make a really beautiful outdoor area.

    Depth of Field and cutscenes
I agree that it should be limited to cutscenes. Note the title of this thread.

Ultimatly, I think this feature is rare and complicated enough that if it isn't planned from the beginning, it's not likely to be implemented. I assume it's not in, but I'd still like to hear it from Obsidian.
I agree with the cutscene useage as well.

However, due to another feature that's already in the game, the support for depth of field is only a few steps away. So, there is a decent probability that it will make it into the game. ;)

    Hardware or Software?

    The screenshot is (essentially) 1024x768
    More like 1600x1200 :)
Actuall, you're not seeing about half of that image (the right half). It was cropped down from an original in game shot at a rez of 1920x1200. [IMG]

    PC Gamer screens online!
    It just keeps getting better.
Doesn't it?! Trust us, when we say that we've had more than a tough time getting out media that WE want you guys to see. In the end, it will all work itself out. However, we try to do what we can here on the forums to answer questions and keep the interest going because we care about this game and product as much as the people waiting for it to come out (meaning you guys/gals) do.

Like Feargus said, there will be more media coming that we feel truly reflects what the game is all about, at least in terms of its true look and feel and the wide rage of variety (look and feel wise) that the engine is capable of delivering. ;)
