Here are today's Neverwinter Nights 2 forum highlights, collected by NWVault. Please take into account that these are only single parts of various threads and should not be taken out of context. Bear in mind also that the posts presented here are copied as-is, and that any bad spelling and grammar does not get corrected on our end.

    NWN2: Icewind Dale
Obsidian doesn't own the Icewind Dale game franchise or name. The decision to make games to be made in the Icewind Dale setting is up to Atari, Hasbro and Wizards of the Coast. Unless I am missing something, I don't know where you got that information. Although, I wouldn't mind having another game set in IWD - those two games are some of my favorites.

As long as the game can be made to be "GPU bound" on a system with a single graphics card, then it should see a very real perfomance boost in an SLI setup. Though there's still a lot that will change between now and the time we ship, so far, we are headed in the GPU bound direction.

And a question for the devs: has nwn2 been tested with sli to see what % speed improvement it yields? I'm wondering what "scale nicely" means.
Yes, it's been tested and it runs fine. Other than that, there's nothing else to say about it at the moment.

    Improved Aurora in NWN2?

Can anyone verify if this -> http://dolina.phx.pl/nwn2_pic/nwn2_3.jpgis a real NWN2 screenshot?
Absolutely not. That was an April Fools joke by Rhomal I believe. Not to mention our game looks better in every way possible than that "shot".

    NWN2 screens
I wouldn't hold my breath on someone from the office doing it. I'm fairly certain we're bound by "other" things at the moment. But, if somebody else not affiliated with us wanted to scan something...who am I to stop it??

    More:
God Forbid when they're released. Obsidian, if you have a sense of humour, you would release a screenshot of a crate and another screenshot of a monkey. Now that WOULD be hilarous.
Wouldn't it?! Stand by for PC Gamer... Edit: Just for the record...those scanned in shots are like 5+ months old. Things have progressed significantly since then.

    More:
    In what way?
Wait and see... You DO have a PC Gamer subscription...don't you??

More: Okay...okay... I'm sorry for that one guys, but I couldn't resist. Don't worry though, because by that time, as I've said before I'm fairly certain there will be other means of achieving what it is you're looking for.

    More:
(with regards to the colorized version) not too bad on the umber hulk, but the bottom one is supposed to be an iron golem (which looks incredible in the game). I wish I could tell and show you more, but it is not our call.
Actually, that colorized rendition is terrible.

    More:
You see, colouring images is what we do when we're bored. I know it's awful, but dont blame me, I didnt expect rhomal to put it there. hehe I only did it to highlight areas of the image for the purposes of working out what's what. Then I did the rest for a nice colour image.
Oh, I know. And most of this is all in jest anyway...at this point. I mean come on guys, we're looking for details in a black and white image made from a high school copy machine...at least it looks that way. Hang tight for a bit longer and we'll ALL be happy...I think.

    Implementing teleportation:
    Well said Mokah. Well said!

    128meg vs 256meg vs 512meg
Using two monitors simply facilitates "fullscreen" exclusive mode debugging. Although, usually nobody other than the graphics programmer really needs to be concerned with that.

    Blurriness

Most games have a way to turn it down or off thankfully. I do hope they give such an option in NWN2.
    You'll have that option.
