    Premium Content Requirements
    Greetings pljohnson3. The page that you were looking at is just slightly out of date and will be updated this morning. The other pages, such as this Kingmaker one, state that Linux and 1.65 are the requirements for the Linux platform. Sorry for the confusion.

    Patch 1.65 French is coming out when ?
    French, German, Spanish, and Italian 1.65 for Windows and Linux is now available. http://nwn.bioware.com/support/patch.html
    Mac 1.65 Beta 3 (compatible with the Windows and Linux 1.65 final versions above) is now available. Click Here If this fixes the 2 crashing issues we are aware of, we should have a Final version for you tomorrow.

    Premium Modules - Currently Not Playable On Mac
    We are working through contractual details for Mac versions of the BioWare Premium Modules and we hope to have more info "soon".

    Indeed. It's astonishing how much basic knowledge about the concept of a "buisness" exists in the general population. BioWare is a business. We want to sell our products. Selling our products, such as the premium modules, allows us to give continual support like patches for NWN. Advertising helps selling our products. Here's the deal:

    [ ] no more patches and free content and no changes to the start menu art.
    [ ] continued patches and free content but there will be changes to the start menu art.

    make your choice - we already made ours. If you don't like to see the start menu, you can launch NWMain.exe directly. "It's not a smart move" On the contrary, your post demonstrates that this feature has a good visibility, good enough so we won't have gnomes with "buy premium modules now" signs as random encounters in the next few builds :p "I pray to god Bioware doesnt do this again" You should save your prayers for something else. Also, we usually don't harm (nonvirtual) animals in the process of getting the word out.

    Wish List for 1.66 ?

    Right now I'm thinking :
    - Make it easy or automatic that custom added Weapon class gets the weapon specific feats : Weapon Focus, Improved Critical, etc.
    While it's not yet determined if this will be done (as these are hard-coded feats by nature), they certainly won't be automatic if it's ever done.


    - increases the limit for some 2da files, or some file naming indexes (I read recently that ring icons can't go over 50).
    I'm not in a position to comment on the reasoning behind that lock; it's not something I know about.


    - make it possible to add new projectile weapon (and ammo types maybe ?) : Sarbacane, Atlat. And new thrown weapons : Short spears, boomrangs, ...
    I wouldn't count on that happening. That has been voiced many times (including by myself before my employment) before. If it hasn't changed by now, there'll be a reason for it.

    Don't get me wrong; these are all valid "wish list" type items you have proposed, and I'm not knocking a single one of them. I'm just not sure that a couple of them are likely to ever come to pass, is all. My word is most certainly not final, though. :good:

    Yes, they are looking at something like what you suggest, though the final details have not been ironed out yet. No virtual flight miles, we don't have a z-axis, remember? :shake:
