    Invisible helmet.
    The reason that "trick" works is because NWN still works in a client/server setup even in single-player. By rapidly swapping equipment around, the client might "miss" an update to the head model, so you equip the helmet but the client skips updating the graphical representation (but other clients in a multiplayer game might not).

    I've been looking at how to get around this, and one possible work around was to set the neck model as the head (since we only use like 4 neck parts, and it never animates) and letting helmets and hair be in the helmet slot. Or using the tail node as the head.
