Here are today's Neverwinter Nights forum highlights, collected by NWVault. Please take into account that these are only single parts of various threads and should not be taken out of context. Bear in mind also that the posts presented here are copied as-is, and that any bad spelling and grammar does not get corrected on our end.

    WW2
We've been waiting for some special art content to come in for it. It's starting to trickle in now and is looking *really* cool. In the meantime, Keith and I are focusing on another module that we should be announcing soon. In short, there's no firm date but it's got a place in our schedule Looking forward to it

    Subraces
There are now! :D <CODE SNIPPED> The various subrace properties are on the creature hides that are being applied (you can rebuild them based off of the documentation provided here or you can create your own. Enjoy

Hmmm Harlequin.... the EXACT same spanking rtrifts got in Obsidian forums you are getting here. I would think it would be best to let the foot in your mouth stay there for a while to stop the insanity.
Correction: For it to be "Exact" a developer will have to post here telling me I have no idea what I am talking about. Not a few fanboi's.

    FYI
"You have no clue what you are talking about."

    You asked for it.

Anyway, the DLA team is far more than just "fanboys". They are a "studio", contracted by BioWare working on official content for NWN.

The content for our premium modules is required to meet the same quality standards like content created for an expansion pack like Hordes of the Underdark, and the DLA team has the experience and talent to deliver exactly this, which is why they were contacted.

Frankly, without DLA, the NWN custom content community would not even be close to what it is now. It's often overlooked because it's not actual flashy content, but their tools, especially NWMax, and the technical knowledge these guys have gathered and shared with the community are the reason why there is so much high quality content for NWN out there.

The original question in this thread is a valid to be asked, but I think both Robert and Nexus have answered it truthfully and in a way that people can understand it.

Finally, I have an issue with some of the stuff posted in this thread, especially the posts that try to play two groups in the community against each other. Robert, very much like me, is a person that to tell things like they are from his point of view, honest and blunt. I, and maybe that's just because we share this way of expression our opinions, can not see any CODI bashing or dirt throwing in his post.

We at BioWare value both the CODI and DLA teams and the awesome work they put into NWN and the content they gave to the community, and personally I think the community has gained much much more professional content and knowledge by these organized groups than it lost due people joining up with them.

There are great things that can only be created by a team, in fact, the days when games could be created by a single person are over - and the days of the lone modder are slowly coming to an end too - just because you need to be a one in a million multitalent like Adam Miller to create all the things that go into a good module or even create yourself. Creating a single, high quality creature for a game takes modellers, animators, texture artists, etc... not just one person.

These groups have gathered exceptional people from all parts of the community and a lot of the stuff DLA is working on would be completely impossible for a single person to create - even for Adam :) .

That said, this thread is about NWN, not NWN2. We will reserve to right to moderate it should someone try to pull it offtopic. Feel free to create a new topic discussing the implications of some of the stuff in this thread regarding NWN2 if you need, but do not move it offtopic.

Anyway, I'm thrilled by the stuff that's in the pipeline for NWN :)
