Here are today's Neverwinter Nights forum highlights, collected by NWVault. Please take into account that these are only single parts of various threads and should not be taken out of context. Bear in mind also that the posts presented here are copied as-is, and that any bad spelling and grammar does not get corrected on our end.

    Greetings:

I have changed the subject line of your post. I understand that you were putting it there for shock value, but I felt that this was a more accurate title.

There seems to be some confusion here. You have said "your Vault". It is not our Vault. Neverwinter Nights Vault, by its very URL is a site hosted at IGN. If you have an issue with the content supplied there, you are right in contacting them. GameSpy is not us and is again an IGN company. Since we have no control over what happens on other web sites or on internet games we neither approve nor disapprove of what goes on.

Neverwinter Nights and its expansions are rated T for Teen as well as mentioned that the experience may change online as with all internet multiplayer games. The primary single player experience is that of a Teen rated game. As a Teen rated game it is certainly not for "children of all ages".

Some of what you talk about is something that can easily be handled with a child through active parenting and participation in your child's activities, whether they be on a computer or in real life.

    CD- Key Gold edition
The Gold edition of Neverwinter Nights contains only the Original game and the Shadows of Undrentide expansion.

So do you need to have no industry experience to qualify?
This is one of the few things where having no industry experience might actually be good :)

30 Nov 2005 - The Contest That Might Become Your Career

Ohhh that fax question is a good one. I faxed mine to just 1-780-439-6374 without thinking. Do I need to refax with the 001-780-439-6374. (I live in the United States by the way.)
No, for North America, long distance only requires a "1" prefix. For overseas long distance, the "001" prefix should be used.

    You're fine, Your Imperial Majesty.

    More:
And you didn't answer the one about when the PSA has to arrive. Before the end of the contest or before the winners are determined? Running out of time on that one if its before end of contest.
The submission steps says "We will not review any entries without a signed PSA." so I would assume that means before end of contest.

Quote: Lastly, since the PSA prints out at 4 pages do they need all 4 pages each submission or just the first and fourth pages? And can you send in 7 different first page ones with only one fourth page signature?
If we require separate PSAs with every entry, you would have to send in completely separate sheets. Just like with any kind of contract, signing one sheet for one thing does not automagically mean you've signed the same sheet for another thing.

Just to be on the safe side, of course.

    CD- Key Gold edition
If the game is still installed on your computer, they can be found in the nwncdkey.ini file. If when playing online it says you are missing the Hordes of hte Underdark CD key, it means that game requires you to have that expansion installed as well. The new NWN Diamond Edition has both expansions plus a bunch of neato things in it besides.

    Can you Roleplay?
I created this Sticky thread so that players and server admins have a place to recommend and discuss persistent worlds without having to clutter the main forum with individual (and often repeated) threads about this persistent world or that. Thank you.

18 Jan 2006 - Writing Contest Submission Details Released
Suggestion: why not write both your BioWare community name and your Vault community name on the corner of the PSA?

    Is it any good?

and the ability to upload ur caharcter from baldurs gate 2 is awsome
where did you read that ? that's a lie ^^
Actually, that was one of the original features of NWN, so much so that it featured as one of the load hints in BG2.

Quote: BG2 was 2nd Ed. and NWN is 3rd Ed. so characters are not compatible.
This is one of the reasons that feature was scrapped early on. NWN was being developed concurrently with the finalization of the D&D Third Edition rules.
