    1.67 patch discussion (cont.)

    OK, I am sure that I'll get a certain answer here, but...

    First, let me say that I am a builder currently working on a big PW module. And I'm a bit excited about certain rumored features of 1.67, namely:

    - new content, especially underwatery stuff.

    - SetName()

    - SetBodyPart()

    I can think of about ten billion uses for #2 at least, as can anyone who has tried to make or customize an enchanting system.

    However, I have only one real question about 1.67:

    WHEN!?!?
    beta very soon I think.

    How to override or extend NWN core scripting function
    I got several PM's on this topic lately and instead of sending answers directly, I decided to put up this little how to so more than just a handful of people can benefit from it.

    Caution, not for the nwscript rookie, you can break a lot by messing with the files mentioned in this article. So don't blame me later...

    Game get stuck at splash screen(diamond Version)
    It sounds like there may be an incompatibility with the SecureRom disk check and some aspect of your system.

    There are instructions listed on the known issues page should get things working for you.
    Please follow this link and follow the instructions listed there:

    I need help for I cannot save.
    Are you patched upto the most recent version of the game?

    There were a couple of issues in older versions of the game that could cause the game to crash while saving.

    1) If you had the date set on your PC to some weird year like 2030.

    2) You were using a custom portrait for your character that was saved in an incorrect format.
