    Scripting-specific

    * Made Invisibility Purge work correctly with Invisibility that is granted through special abilities such as the Assasin's Invisibility (NW_S0_InvPurgeA.NSS).
    * Fixed an issue with Wail of the Banshee sometimes requiring the first target to make two saving throws instead of one (nw_s0_wailbansh.nss).
    * Implosion now properly ignores immunity to death magic (nw_s0_implosion.nss).
    * Fixed the maximized damage healed for cure spells (nw_i0_spells.nss)
    * Cure spells now do DAMAGE_TYPE_POSITIVE to undead rather than DAMAGE_TYPE_NEGATIVE (nw_i0_spells.nss).
    * Phantasmal Killer now properly respects Fear immunity and properly ignores Death Magic immunity (nw_s0_phankill.nss).
    * Weird now properly ignores Death Magic immunity (nw_s0_weird.nss).
    * Mind fog now properly respects immunity to mind affecting spells (nw_s0_mindfoga.nss).
    * The item properties "Immunity: Specific Spell [Gaze Petrification/Touch Petrification/Breath Petrification]" now work properly against monster petrification effects (x0_i0_spells.nss).
    * Fixed an issue with Choking Powder heart beat script not repecting poison immunity ( x0_s3_chokehb.nss ).
    * Fixed an issue with the way the damage calculation was being done for the Cone of Frost monster ability (nw_s1_conecold.nss).
    * Made the Shifter's Manticore's spike script work correctly in the case when it is inappropriately given to an NPC Manticore monster by mistake (x2_s1_gwspikes.nss).

    * Fixed the extended duration for Divine Favor (x0_s0_divfav.nss).
    * Made a change to the Wyrmling Breath, Dragon Breath and Petrifying Gaze attacks used by some of the Shifter shapes. Previously if you targeted yourself with one of these attacks the cone attack would damage creatures East from your location, it will now be directed forwards from your character instead. (x2_s2_edragbrth.nss, x2_s1_wyrmbreath.nss, x2_s1_petrgaze.nss).
    * Made the same above fix for the RDD dragon breath ability (x2_s2_discbreath).
    * Updated the duration of "Camouflage/Mass Camouflage" to bring these spells more inline with 3rd edition rules (x0_i0_spells.nss, x0_s0_masscamo.nss). Also updated the in game spell descriptions to reflect the change.

    1.66 Patch FAQ
To avoid the usual same questions this time, some random Q&A regarding patch 1.66 ...

Is the patch out? Yes, it is available through the auto updater.

What's the exact version number 1.65.8074

What changes have been made in this patch? Click Here

I updated to 1.66 but my server uses 1.65, where is the revert patch? You can find the files here: http://nwn.bioware.com/support/patch.html

The server I'm playing on runs 1.65, can I play with 1.66 No. Client and server need to speak the same language, meaning they need to have the same version. Best wait for your server operator/guild/clan/whatever to announce they made the move to 1.66 before updating.

Downloading aborts at x%, the update server is busy, etc. Try again a bit later. NWN is a popular game and a lot of people jump to get the latest patch when they find out it is available.

Where is the [standalone server / mac version / linux version / my language version / etc] As every patch, all version of the patch will gradually become available on the NWN patch website ( http://nwn.bioware.com/support/patch.html ) and through the auto updater (where applicable). Some releases take a bit longer to build and may not become available the same day as the windows client patches. No worries, everyone will be served The Windows standalone server 1.66 is available here: Click Here

I get a client server version mismatch error in multiplayer Your server has not been updated to 1.66 while you have or the other way around. Either wait for your server to update or reverse your patch.

I really need to go back to 1.65 to play on my server for now, how does that revert patch thing work? The revert procedure, if you really want to do it, works as follows:

    - Download the correct .zip file for your game version (pay attention the expansion packs you have installed, there are different files for each possible combination).
    - Do NOT unzip it, just put the zip file in the root of your NWN installation.
    - Run the updater and press update. it will find the .zip and revert.
    - Delete the .zip file out of your NWN directory.

    Female Heads
The issue with female characters losing their necks when they put on a helmet has been fixed in this patch. The fix will break ALL custom female head models that you use (i.e. in hack paks or CEP), until the person that created/packaged the custom heads fixes their custom female head models.

    More:
Thanks for nothing. Do you know or care how many mods PWs etc that this has broken? I hope there is never a 1.67, because I'd hate to imagine what you'll wreck with it. And I know you'll say that haks are none of your concern, but without them, your game would have died a long time ago.
The 1.66 betas have been available for months now (and this issue known). The negative impact of this change was discussed and taken into consideration. The DLA team offered to make a tool to quickly and easily convert all custom female heads to the new format. It was released recently: Click Here http://www.dladventures.com/ This should help to make updating any custom female head models a lot less painful. My thanks to the DLA team for their help in finally resolving the female head issue for everyone.
