Here are today's Neverwinter Nights forum highlights, collected by NWVault. Please take into account that these are only single parts of various threads and should not be taken out of context. Bear in mind also that the posts presented here are copied as-is, and that any bad spelling and grammar does not get corrected on our end.

Can we distribute the potsc_resources hak?
So, any problems with that file I posted? Anything missing?

    More:
There are no 2da files for parts_foot, parts_hand, and parts_shin to see the new hook and peg leg armors.
OK, I will get that fixed up.
Quote: Also missing in action are 2da files for loadscreens and placeables. As Timendainum mentioned, there are not set or itp files for the tileset changes. Are you teasing us? *grins* There are vfx visual effect files included in the hak. Not sure if they are meant be included in the visualeffects 2da?
The tileset and related items may have to wait until the 1.67 update. That is NOT a definate decision, just trying to find the right balance between my free time (in which I am doing this) and my current workload.
Quote: Not sure just how picky you want to be about the 2da files that you have included? Assuming you want to be very picky, here is some specific feedback. [snip]
This sounds like a data sync issue. This is something that you will NOT see in when the data is integrated into the 1.67 update as it follows a different process. It may have to stay this way for now. I will have a new hak build a little later this morning.

More: Beta #2 here, now with the parts 2DAs. Still working on other things right now.Click Here

More: Sorry all, but I won't be able to get you a new Hak, probably until Monday. Missing a few people and running out a spare time over here. Let's try this again in 3 days, ok?

More: Well, you have all probably noticed that we don't release patches on Friday. :)

    More:
[IMG] Erm... do the Sahuagin have a sound set? Not trying to be spiteful...just asking.
My quick check shows no sound set. Monday, I should be able to look up and see if they just used an existing one.

    Authenticating Game... Again???

I don't think the issue really is if you do or not but the fact that you can if you want to.
I really don't know what to say, other than to suggest to the Store guys to start stocking Tin Foil Hats.
Quote: Maybe it was posted here as to why you need to require the authenticating every time but I don't remember reading it. I'll have to go back and read the thread again to check.
Its very easy to check. Click on the BioWare logo by this thread from the "Premium Neverwinter Nights Modules Discussion" forum page. It will show you all the developer posts in that thread. This is what you will see:Click Here So in this specific thread, I have stated it twice. I have also done it in other threads.

    More:
OK, if that's your reason for having to check every time we play and not just when we buy it and again when we forst play it I'll go play the game. I'm not sure why it has to be every time but I guess it's the way the system works.
Its because we are leveraging the CD Key system. The CD Key system authenticates you every time you play. And thank you for taking the time to read through all this and for your understanding. We know its a volatile issue.

A retail endevor like this would be completely up to Atari. It is something that you would need to contact them about.

***** SPOILERS ********* Males get Sweetie Marie as an option, while females get Peg Leg as an option. Also, based on who you side with in chapter one, you might have Vengaul, or you might have Honey Dew.
