    NWN vs Other RPGs
Perhaps you could be a little more specific on what it is you would like compared. You've got both MMORPGs and regular RPGs in there, and each of the three regular RPGs is very different from the others. Are you looking for information on game world, gameplay, price, role-playing potential, interactivity, story, length, colour, rating, hedgehog compatibility?

How did the game developers intend for us to play certain classes ?
With all the rules and exceptions and options to build a character in the D&D rules and NWN (not to mention the nigh-infinite situations and possibilities raised by community members), perhaps the "however you like" answer becomes a little more appropriate, no? :D

We really didn't "intend" for characters to be played a certain way. The beauty of NWN is in its many options. If you want to hit "Recommended" every level and play thorugh the OC that way, great! If you want to slog through and min/max your stats and BAB to maximize your success in a PvP PW, great! If you want to tweak your stats and abilities to make a hermaphrodite halfling fighter / wizard / bassoonist to play a downloaded module, great! Odd, but great!

Almost every style of play is represented in our community.

More: Like in the pen-and-paper game, the classes in NWN were never intended to be PvP-friendly.

Q : old DDS override new TGA textures ?

I wanted to change the ground of forest (ttf01) tilset, so I named the new texture ttf01_floor01.tga, I made a hak with only that inside, and placed it.

guess what : it doesn't appear. If I place it in override it doesn't work either. but I can see the new texture if I use nwnexplorer to view bioware tiles. Has DDS version of the texture priority over tga and would the old dds taken before my new tga ? How to prevent dds from being choosen then ?
or is there another reason why I would not see it. What should I do to turn the tga into a dds ? (pointers, I'm sure there are tutorials out there, I just didn't check now, if you confirm that's because of the dds I will try to turn my tga into dds).
DDS files will take priority over TGA files based on your graphics settings. Lowering the graphic resolution will cause the TGA to be used instead. Alternatively (and optimally), you can download the DDS Conversion tool to turn your TGA into a DDS file.
