    Puzzled...

Because the rules of the award do not differentiate between 'RPG' and 'module'. The reward was given on story and game quality, not dependency on other software (or lack thereof).
    Correct.

23 Mar 2005 - NWN Profile: Eye of the Beholder Project
After looking at the thread that has developed I thought I should step in and answer directly as the guy who did the wednesday item on EOB. I like the idea that it's 'who you know' that gets you a Wed item with a community of over 2 million that makes me into a bit of rock star. :) Seriously however the guys of Eye sent me an email that detailed what work they had done. I thought it was a great module so I did a piece of them. I actually do not recieve a lot of emails from people with projects they are proud of, that required a team of talented people, that took a long time to complete. I'm a little surprised I don't receive more email from people who wish to highlight their projects through Wed. Sometimes it may take months to get an item on the front page because of how we schedule things here such as the latest round of Epic builds. Sometimes I make an interview request that I need a response back from within 1 day when some other Wed item has fallen through. It really depends on how ahead of schedule I am in prepping material.

The Wed items are a tool to help sustain and encourage the Neverwinter community and I have tried to feature different facets from this huge group fairly- new content makers, PWs, DMs, huge group projects and so on. There is too much happening for me to keep track of it all and so I rely on the millions of eyes and ears out there to keep me informed of what is really cool in the community.

Got something cool that would make a great Wed item? Send me an email with all the details: jay@bioware.com

Logging all chat to text file?
There is a nwnplayer.ini setting to log all chat on the client.

Under [Game Options] ClientEntireChatWindowLogging=1 (Defaults to off). Turning this option on will cause all text in the in-game chat window to be logged to the log file (regardless of whether or not you have set certain chat messages to be filtered). There is no easy way to log all chat server side, since many of the chat messages are sent down to the client as a combination of flags/numbers/strrefs, which are in turn pieced back together by the client to produce the final chat message. I think I remember some one once creating an invisible object that followed the player/players around the game world and logged chat message. So that might be a possible option.

    Endless Cure Critical Potions??
It's highly unlikely that this is patch related. Inventory control is up to the mod builder. :)

    Players abusing a script bug
You're using an ActionJumpToLocation call to move the player. That is inserting the jump into the action queue, which the player can clear simply by staying mobile. That occurs especially frequently if the player is moving through use of a keyboard command, rather than a mouse click. Keyboard commands are like rapid fire actions, so a ClearAllActions goes virtually unnoticed by them.

    Players abusing a script bug
Toying with player commandability can introduce new bugs, if you're not careful. Hmmm... My suggestion would be to simply switch the ActionJumpToLocation() call to a JumpToLocation() call. JumpToLocation adds it as an action at the front of the queue, to be executed immediately, rather than adding it to the end of the existing action queue. That ought to take care of the issue, if it's what I'm thinking it is. :)

    Spell Editing/Creation
You don't really need the Custom Content Guide for that. Rather, you need to find the appropriate script for that spell in the toolset and edit it. :)
