    Authenticating Game... Again???
    Just to restate it, since it has been a while... The current authentication system leverages the existing NWN CD Key system. Doing it this way allowed us to create and sell the BioWare Premium Modules in a timely and cost-effective manner. Did we want to make this an on-line only system? No, but given the choice between doing it on-line only versus not doing it at all, we chose the on-line only system. As well, we have said that if this experiment is successful, that we would look into a off-line system for those of you that do not have an internet connection or choose not to authenticate in this manner. So, where are we now? Nothing has changed yet and we are still watching, but we should have a decision on an "off-line" mode sometime "soon"®

    Simple Way To Do Something Once Per Day

    If your module already has a mod heartbeat, it is zero waste of resources. Explain how the GZ psuedo script does ANYTHING at midnight? Using the GZ script, the "item" could be used at 11:59 p.m., and then one minute later, be used again. Is that once per day at midnight? No.
    In case you didn't notice, there is no script, just pseudo code detailing one possible approach. meh.

    Inventory disappears (version 1.65)

    it happens when you have your inventory open and go through an area transition, avoid that and you should be ok, it is a known issue though :)
    Yep are transitions do seem to be related to the problem (although no one told us that before :) ). Fortunately we managed to recreate this problem recently and have made a fix for it which should be available in the next beta patch.

    Server Connection Problem

    I seem to be having a problem with my Stand Alone Server. I can connect to it fine, but it seems that my players can't connect. It keeps saying "Server timed Out" Yet, on the NWServer, it says "Running, Log in at will." I'm on High Speed, comcast, and i have aol's port magic. I made sure everything said "Always Approved" for NWN... yet still can't see the server on the Internet Tab list when I go to log in to play on the server... I hope I'm making htis clear lol... any suggestions on what I should do?
    Make sure all players are running the same version of the game (and it is the same version that the server is running). If they are all running the same version of the game and the problem is still happening, then check the "Client Port" setting in the nwnplayer.ini file. You can try changing the "Client Port" number to something different to see if the problem goes away (also make sure that the client port number does NOT match the "Game Port" number [the game port can also be found in the nwnplayer.ini file]).
