Here are today's Neverwinter Nights forum highlights, collected by NWVault. Please take into account that these are only single parts of various threads and should not be taken out of context. Bear in mind also that the posts presented here are copied as-is, and that any bad spelling and grammar does not get corrected on our end.

    1.65 status?
Just so you know, we have had some issues crop up with 1.65 and it won't be available as a Beta this week. We think we have it resolved as of this afternoon, but we need some more testing done, first.

What sets free CC apart from DD CC?
Back to the original question of "what sets free CC apart from DD CC?"

One thing to remember is that any custom content made for DD receives internal support from BioWare. We can introduce new functionality with a patch in order to enable the development of new content that simply wouldn't have been possible otherwise. A few patches ago, for instance, some of the custom content builders may have noticed that we introduced support for some new pathnodes and tiletypes. This was done to support some upcoming custom content being developed for DD by certain members of the community (the content's earmarked for WW2, in case you're curious). Without this direct support from the Live Team programmers, the upcoming custom content would simply not have been possible. There are a number of other examples of this as well but my lips are sealed. Make of that what you will,

Turning away customers is bad business.
Actually, according to a number of publicly available studies released over the past few years, the average age of PC gamers is currently sitting somewhere around 29 or so. Also, our own community surveys for the online store strongly suggested that Visa and MasterCard were the primary methods that NWN players used for online transactions. Paypal, etc., came in a very distant third, maybe at around one tenth of the number who use credit cards. Again, we're not ruling out the possibility of providing a broader range of payment options in the future but, for this initial wave, credit cards (and certain types of debit cards) were the most obvious and logical choice.

To Bioware: How's DD going so far?

Glad to hear this scheme is working as planned. Perhaps now it can be widened to multiplayer modules, and have more payment options.
Witch's Wake is multiplayer-capable. We have plans for further multiplayer support in upcoming modules

What sets free CC apart from DD CC?
There are no plans for another expansion pack.

    Authentication Server is DOWN
I think our master server uptime has been 99.9% for the last years.

Success of premium modules vs. acceptance of copy protection method

Edit: Those are both the requirements shown when you get the popup window when adding stuff to the cart.
And if you click on the question mark icon next to "Internet Connection", you get a detailed description of how the game requires this internet connection... There is a dedicated "MAKE SURE YOU MEET THE REQUIREMENTS" popup during the store purchase process - ignoring it will yield tears, that's expected.

    getting boot's knocked
Wow, the euphemisms being bandied about in this thread sound much worse than describing thetransaction itself. So, the question is, why can't the PC be shown to have sex with the prostitute after he pays for it? Well, aside from Neverwinter Nights not being "that sort of game" (ie. Leisure Suit Larry, Leather Goddesses of Phobos, Night Traps, etc.), graphic depiction or description of sex isn't what we're all about, plus it would have increased the game's rating to an unacceptable level. Much like in KotOR, where the male romance with Bastila is culminated and all that's seen is a fade-out and fade-in.

If it's really all that important to you, use your imagination, titter about it with your friends, or if you're old enough, seek out some of the more adult-oriented fanfic out there on the great wide intarweb. That's all I can suggest. And if y'all are going to continue this topic, please keep it clean. Thank you.
