Here are today's Neverwinter Nights forum highlights, collected by NWVault. Please take into account that these are only single parts of various threads and should not be taken out of context. Bear in mind also that the posts presented here are copied as-is, and that any bad spelling and grammar does not get corrected on our end.

    Problem with SoU installation
Your original game and the expansions must be in the same language. If you have the Polish version of NWN, then you need to purchase the Polish version of the expansions. In the future...

    Regeneration and Lag
Areas with no player in them are hibernating, meaning they will process events slower than areas with players in them. This is by design.

Regeneration is done through the game effect system (not the item, items don't run scripts), and of course the basic creature data will stay in memory if you make it regenerating. Note tho that the reason why areas hibernate is not related to memory (creatures without their art are cheap, textures and animations are loaded when they get close to a player), it's cpu time.

As for AI level - AI level defines the "cutoff" for situations in which processing all pending events would cause the ai loop of the game to run longer than its defined timeout value. Pending actions/events tied to objects in the game are processed based on AI level, meaning an object with a high AI level has a higher chance of executing it's actions/events even in situations when not all actions/events can be processed within the available time of a single AI frame.

So assigning a high or very high AI level to an object will not cause it to run faster / more efficient, it will just ensure that it will have a higher chance of executing it's associated actions or events in a time when resources (cpu time) are limited. Hope that helps

Suffice to say I'm really happy with the English one. ;)
