New areas

In the expension of BGII there wil be the following new areas: the watchers keep, city of Saradush , does anyone know anything of these areas (from p&p maybe)

there wil also be a new NPC as I have red, one we know from other bg series (BGI), has anyone any clue who that could be?
Thetiril (the guy who has the indentify scroll in Candle keep), Drizzt, Gorion or maybe Shandalar?

 

I have no clue, but wouldn't it be cool if you will be able to get Elminster (lvl 29 mage) in your party?

 

BTW, waar ligt Hellevoetsluis?

but Nightal is from the Netherlands and so am I.
I asked him, in dutch, where hellevoetsluis lies. It's a place in our country, but I don't know where it is, although I've heard about it.

 

Who is shandalar again?
Drizzt is at the same level as you are if I'm correct,
so it could be him, although many people killed him, the poor fellow, because of his cool weapons. Well, I helped him back then, I hope he'll be ready to help me now too!

 

Yeah, Coran would be cool, he was an excellent archer, elven mc fighter-thief IIRC. The first really capable NPC thief without magical ambitions.

About Shandalar: He was a mage you met in BG-1 TosC in Ulgoth´s Beard offering you the quest to retrieve his cloak.
And for Drizzt: A thief didn´t need to kill him to get his stuff and for a dc thief an elven chain +4 is a gift of the heavens

Possible other NPS from BG-1: Maybe the ranger (forgot his name) you met at the High Hedge Area? Or Branwen? Fortunately Ajantis is dead.

 

Hey, Ajantis was my favorite character.
I can't help it I killed him accidently...
I never played ToSC, because I wanted to finish Bg1 the main game first, but I never came through that nasty maze near the end of the game. There were these skeleton worriors and an awful lot of traps, and I was only lvl 7 you know..., because you couldn't get higher...
So is this guy cool, this sha-thingy?

 

Coran would be a great addition as I was quite pissed I couldn't play him in BG2. And it would give people who love thieves(I don't) a viable option to have in their party. Khalid and Dynheir are dead, so they aren't viable choices anymore. They need more evil NPC's, but if they only offer one in the expansion, you can bet it won't be an evil one as I'm sure they wan the most people to get use out of him/her. hmm, Branwen sucked(sorry to all her fans). Kivan and Adjantis were popular from the first game so they are possibities. But I say give me Quayle so I can dump Ariee. I've been on the outs with her ever since that little incident in the Drow city. Quayle would give me the character type I want with much better dialog. I loved his back and forth insults with Dynheir and Minsc in BG. Gnomes have some great dialog in these games. However, my money is on a special character from BG we didn't play at the time b/c he was too powerfull.

 

I don't know if you guys know this or not but you actually meet Coran in BG2. In one of the forests you meet him and that thief you can get in BG1. It turns out that they ran away together, and that she betrayed you. If you manage to save Coran he says that he's going to go and get drunk in Athkatla. I could never find him after that so I don't think that he's coming back.

 

using Shadowkeeper you EASILY recreate these characters and use them in a MP Game. Like i have... i still have Khalid and Dynaheir in mine... (even though they are dead).

I have also made a Kivan character... i found the guy absolutely amazing and wikked with a nice Halberd and Bow. Branwen was a pretty good Cleric too... with her Sprirtual Hammer ability. Did anyone use Yeslick? i liked him too.

Ajantis was pretty good... except in my game he got "Chunked" by an Ogre Beserker and i got annoyed so i got Minsc instead.

 

Yep, Kivan was the name, he´d be cool - was quite good with spear and bow. And of course Coran. Quayle would be nice, all right Branwen wasn´t that good but I usually preferred her to Jaheira.
The other gnome from Baldur´s Gate city, Tiax, (just in front of the Flaming Fist building was just insane there as he is now at spellhold so not really a choice, but who knows - maybe in the add on?

I´d love to see a really cool dungeon area like Durlag´s Tower in the add on as a playground for my thief <deep sigh>.

I never met Kivan in BG1.
Was he cool?
I heard from a friend where he was, the same place as on the internet, but I never found him. I looked everywhere, but nope, he wasn't there .

 

Bah. I liked Quayle. I would have him in any party of mine. He had some of the best dialog in BG, defiantely some of the best banter between characters. And the wisdom didn't hurt him that much. He had plenty of spells to go around. I'd rather have his whinning that Aerie's any old day.

 

I never liked Quale.
That stinking little guy wasn't to be trusted...

 

The only reason that Quayle was able to join any party is that he is the only all spells spellcasterin BGI, like Aerie in BGII,
and yes I hate him whit his additude!
