[IMG] Everyone that have good ideas for new classes, post here, and maybe, someone who knows how to make new classes just might take up the challenge of making them for you.

How about a Fighter/Sorcerer multiclass(you guys are thinking, way overpowered, aren't you). But he would only be able to reach level 6 spells, and would gain thaco at the rate of a ranger, and can only use weapons that a mage can use, and never becoming better than specialised in a weapon.

    What do you think?

    wouldn't mind more multiclasses possibly.
e.g paladin and something, maybe a mage that can wear amour. A cleric/mage/fighter who can use weapons would be the best methinks.

  3. Lord Sarevok Guest

I'd like some kind of Cleric(other than Paladin) who can use swords, but that's not happening.

  4. void Guest

    I'd like a multi monk/sorcerer...

I would like a witch or warlock class as in Dangerous Journies. Where you can recieve powers by making pacts with dark gods and beings. But as a result you have set tasks or goals you must complete each month and you must do evil things to keep your powers. Its like how the Ranger loses his/her class by doing something evil, in DG if an evil character does something good they are punished.

    How about

    Paladin monk

Not as strong as normal monk, and less abilities and bonuses, but can get cleric spells up to level 4.

    OR

    A Darter

Same as archer, but with darts, also improve hast himself, once ever 4 levels.

    OR

    Brick

can have 20 in strength and con, but only 15 in dex, max of 9 in int, wis, chr.
good with two handed swords, but holds them one hand, so and wield 2 two handed swords at once, but can't wear armor, or use bracers, for game balance.

Psionics are cool, but very very rare in faerun, if any even exists.

I'd like to see racial class limitations eliminated - what's wrong about a halfling cavalier (as long as he doesn't wield C'Fury or carsomyr - these weapons are simply too large ...) or a halfling archer - maybe even a halfling slinger - since they are used to be good with ranged weapons?
However, to compensate for racial advantages I'd like to see some race-weapon limitations included: a halfling fighter that is allowed to wield halberds or two-handed swords is kinda weird ...

A mc kensai-mage definitely would be an awesome class too - though admittedly *extremely* powerful once the x-cap is reached ... the level up is slow enough due to multiclassing to prevent this class from beeing really unballancing in SoA. In ToB this starts to look quite different. At the start of the game however, they are a real challenge to play ... *low* hitpoints, average THACO, horrid ACn and st's, short duration of protective spells in combat on low level ... to name a few difficulties I had to deal with ... but finally I got one of the strongest chars I ever had :)

It would be cool too if clerics would be allowed to use the fav weapon of their deity - priests of helm should be allowed to use swords I think. Or a priest of vecna could be interesting - beeing able to cast priest and mage spells, wielding daggers ... (don't tell me about druid kits - I want a *priest*)

Some of these combos are pretty nice and I have played some of them - actually I can't see how they differ from prestige classes in p&p ...

  13. People: a multi-class with a Pally is impossible. As the Player's Handbook states, the paladin is so dedicated to his cause that he doesn't have the time to dabble in other classes.

Personally, I'd like to see prestige classes like the Arcane Archer.

Acctualy paladins in D20 system players guide can multi class, but on doing so may never again advance as a paladin. They keep all abilitys of old paladin class :) .
Pity this game dosent let fallen paladins become Black guard though :(

  16. I'm sure that an ex-Paladin loses all of his Paladin abilities, fungus. The only way to get them back is via atonement.

    [IMG] creudzfeldt-jakob,
fungus is right - in 3rd edition rules a paladin actually can multiclass - and he keeps all his pally abilities.
Nontheless there is a high price for that: He cannot gain levels in his pally class after that any longer.

The atonment spell has the function to "restore" pally status and to give back the divine powers to a fallen paladin. (more: 3e PHB p.41 to 43)

  20. I was reading the Player's Handbook a while ago, and I recognized your quote, Ragusa. You are right, I am wrong.

I concede my stance, Paladins know better. ;)
