That's a pretty broad topic there; what do you mean? You start a game and you play it. If you're wondering about what class, race, alignment, etc., you should be, it's all up to you. Of course, if you're wondering what'd be fun to play, I suggest whatever class, alignment, and race suits you.

I'd say start a solo gnomish illusionist, with a intelligence penalty. That should occupy you for a while instead of making such a broad (and thus pretty useless) topic.

Don't be so harsh - I can well understand Bastet's problem. I have played BG-2 plenty of times and the options are getting rare by now. I have played all romances. I have played the mage/ thief/ ranger/ cleric/ fighter/ pally quests and the only one I never played, lacking interest, are the bard and druid classes. Additionally, having played the game repeatedly takes the challenge out of some fights, so group your party in a way you never had it before: Maybe deny your group mage spells and concentrate on cleric spells instead or vice versa.

So I'd suggest start a complete new party with a char you've never played - maybe a bard, cleric or avenger druid, and choose NPCs you've never had in your party before. The idea to take a crippled char with all-9 stats may be a challenge too, though I consider that as pure showing-off :p

I guess you're right Ragusa, or at least I see your point. I know the problem, I've had it with a couple of games I've played too much.

However I did not get that from the message posted. With the amount of information given, there is very little one can (or at least I could) do with it. There's not much effort in the post to help us help him.

As for people who've played the game too often, I've got one tip: Wait for IWD2 :)

When you've played one game that many times you shouldread a book. Or switch games. Or go out once in a while. Or start a new hobby. Or... :p
