[IMG] Where do you download a viewer for those mov files? I can't find any, or else I'm just being blind. I've known about that trailer list for ages but I can't figure how to see them!!! :(

[IMG] I just clicked on them and watched them, it used my Quicktime program. Well they are pretty good (for trailers), the landscapes look cool. But I don't know, they aren't pumping me up about the movies like other trailers have. Take for instance when the trailers for Phantom Menace came out, now those had me pumped. Speaking of which it shouldn't be too much longer and there will be some new Star Wars trailers!!!!

[IMG] The LotR movie is going to be a serious disappointment for LotR fans. I just know that I am going to walk out after watching it and think that it was a good fantasy movie, but a terrible Lord of the Rings story.

[IMG] I just saw it! Thanks for the link Ex :)

AWESOME! I can wait till I see it, of course a movie can never replicate a book, but can still be pretty good.

I got goosebumps from watching the trailer, the music and all, excellent, I can't wait :)

:exaggerated happy: too bad there isn't one of those ;)

[IMG] I was the trailer on Monday night. Than my wife downloaded it yesterday and we watched it another 5 times. You can read the frame by frame description over at www.theonering.net if you ae so inclined. I agree there are some issue with the movie but as said above no movie, however good, can replace a book.

Big B you should no better than to raise the SW topic in a LotR thread, but I did also love the PM trailer, maybe more than the movie itself. You see I hadn't seen Jar Jar yet and did realize the movie would only be fair at best. I was still living off the fantasy of my youth in seeing SW.

But back to the subject at hand, I think Peter Jackson is doing a excellent job with LotR and it will be a great movie. Most likely the best of the year - although that's not saying much for this years selection. There will be some changes, some necessary to convert the book to a movie and some unnecassary. The key is to kept the second instance limited.

  7. [IMG] I aggree with Voltric about this beeing a poor year for movies so far (what a disapointment AI was!).
By the way, have any of you guys seen a film called 'BAD TASTE'. I just found out thats the same Peter Jackson thats directing LOTR. If you havent seen it - the name says it all!

[IMG] Most of Peter Jackson older stuff is rather out there. Bad Taste was made on limited funds and stars his friends, true it's awful, but what do you expect. He also directed Dead Alive, Meet the Feabbels, Heavenly Creatures and The Frighteners. The last are the only ones on a real budget. Dead Alive is a total blood bath and Meet the Feabbels is puppets on crack with firearms. Enough said. From the trailer for LotR he has chilled out a lot, but don't be surpirsed if there are battle scenes with buckets of blood everywhere. Helm's Deep anyone?

That wasn't bad. I liked the one they showed on TV after Monday's showing of Angel. That was the best I think.
