[IMG] I've wanted to make an NPC mod for a while now. I've seen some of the ones that are already made and they are amazing. Now, however, I want to do it myself, and do something different. Here's my idea: a new NPC who is based around banters, romances, flirts and romance conflicts.

    Here's what I have:
An bisexual Elven Female, either Fighter/Mage or Fighter/Thief (not sure which one to go for)
NO annoying quests, which means no whining (can we go and do X, Y and Z yet?)
Two PC-NPC romances (one male, one female. Male has to be Human/Elf/Half-Elf, any alignment except Chaotic Evil. Female has to be Elf, any alignment except Chaotic Evil)
One NPC-NPC romance (Imoen, Anomen or Haer'Dalis, again undecided)
Four romance conflicts (with each of the Bioware NPCs)
Flirts (including drunken PC conversations, drunken NPC conversations, and hurt badly conversations)
At least two banters with every Bioware NPC (as well as drunk, badly hurt)

I'm thinking she should be quite calm, kind, caring and friendly, not afraid to voice her opinions and gets angry if she strongly disagrees with something or is being insulted.

This is just a template, I still need to write up banters, conversations and everything, and I really need opinions of this and some ideas. for example, I can't think of a decent name! I also need conversation ideas, flirt option choices, stats, class etc. So what do you think?

P.S. - of course, if it turns out that I'm too dumb to work out how to use all of the various programmes you need to create an NPC, somebody else could do this if they wanted. :D

    Please start giving me ideas!

How about a Mage/Thief or a Fighter/Mage/Thief? For a name, how about Kilara? And the NPC-NPC romance should match with her regular restrictions for the PC. That means no Imoen, but I've always said the bard could use some loving. ;)

    P.S. No cross-posting. :nono:

@Fel - there's already two Mage_Thieves in the game already. I know that they are dual class rather than multi class, but I was thinking of something different. I prefer Fighter/(class) because they are better at fighting and have more weapon choice.

So the NPC-NPC romance would have to be for Haerry? Okay.

Oh, sorry about the cross-posting. Whoops! Won't do it again. :(

You know what? Go with F/T. Most of the F/Ts out there are overpowered *coughValencough* or unfortunately undeveloped.

Then again, the same could be said for F/Ms. :shake: Sola, anyone?

As a person writing their own character, I suggest two things: Know what you are going to write (big mistake, I'm making stuff up as I go), and take your time to double (triple, quadruple) check everything. Its worth it.

    Also:
Finding someone to do your mod is tough - most people with modding skills already have ideas, or are already working on a project. It is easier to do it yourself (not at first, but once you get the hang of it, it is fine), unless you require complex stuff. Ask here for help if you need it (on the actually scripting, I mean).

Hmm, seems like one of my posts didn't work. I suggested you not use Fel's name... it seems too much like Kiara, who already exists.

How about Melyna, Viivyl (pronounced Vee Vil), or Kelina?

Ah a monk NPC will be very good, but making a romance may be difficult, I don't think monks are all very suitable for romancing and affection and all.

    @Silverstar:
There are already two monks, Kiara (w/ Ziaya) and Yikari. And Kiara is romanceable.

I'd really suggest you take a more obscure class, like the bard or sorceror, some class that is not played much in BG.
I an't recall that there is a joinable sorcerer/bard npc, except for the kelsey mod of course.

this would add the edge of not only having a new character, but that she's more interesting because she is a class that people will have played less often
