New party, mixed alignments. Will I face any problems?

I was thinking of trying out this party. Please LMK if anybody will break off and leave the party:

Korgan (could use Valygar if there's going to be any problems)
Imoen
Viconia
Jaheira
Mazzy

I am going to try the Viconia romance for the first time, and I heard that Mazzy and Korgan have some great dialogues together!

 

The party will work fine, just make sure you don't get your reputation over 18 or below 5.

Out of curiosity: What sort of PC are you planning on using for this party?

 

yes they do,

havent really looked into it but the only problems i can think of right now are;

- if you are vying for attention with both Jaheira and Viconia, i think they will come to blows or one will leave if you say the wrong things with the love talk dialogue.

-viconia and/or korgan may leave if your reputation gets too high (19 or 20)

um thats about it, unless i missed something

 

I'm planning on playing a 1/2 Orc F/T. Jaheira won't get in the way.

 

Yeah, you'll be fine, as long as you don't try to romance both of them. However, you're going to need the mod that allows romances regardless of race, because Viccy will not romance a half-orc in the base game. She will only romance humans, half-elves, and halflings (regular elves are out for her too).

 

Actually, Viccy was originally made with possibly romancing a half-orc in mind. As such, a fix (for half-orcs + Viconia only) is found in Baldurdash IIRC.

 

Hey guys, I just started (still in Irenicus' dungeon, actually) and I'm thinking of swapping Imoen for Nalia.

I've never really used Nalia before, and I've completed the game with Imoen, so it should be some more good banter.

Will Nalia cause any problems for me?

 

no, unmodded she has no romance.
her romance mod is unfinished at this point. i think.

her thief skills are very low, you will need thievery potions, but she can get some good spells

 

No, no problems. I've already put together a guide on who will get angry with who, but I can't submit it (from my laptop) until I get back to school in a month.

EL, you misunderstood me. I don't want to romance Nalia, I just want to make sure she won't break away from my party.

BTW, I know Edwin is a better Mage than Nalia, but I've played with him. I want some new blood, plus Nalia firing arrows when not casting is pretty cool.

 

my second point was a little info on what nalia is like.

she shouldnt leave the party, unless she is in your party and you take too long to begin the de arnise keep quest. she has 1 or 2 quests of her own but you will need to begin the keep quest with her to start them, i think

 

Just get her to her keep soon after you pick her up (a couple game days). She does 'disappear' during one of her quests, but you can return her to the party relatively quickly. Stock up on thievery potions and keep the rings of Danger Sense and Lockpicks to help her out.

 

I can't help but realize how boring she was, in the short amount of time I did use her.

Now I'm considering using Kelsey instead. Does Kelsey have any conflicts?

Wait, wait... How about Jan instead, but I mod him into a Wild Mage?

I heard theres a mod out there that replaces Nalia with a half-elf, making her a multi instead of duel.

 

I don't THINK Kelsey would conflict with your party, but I'm not sure.

Jan is cool- he suits being a Wild Mage and he won't fight with anyone.

Shadowkeeper. Remove his experience and levels, change his class to a single class Wild Mage, removve his spell slots, raise his saves and remove some proficiencies. You should also probably add the Wild Mage specific spells to his spell book.
Then add the experience he had before you changed him, save the changes, load your game and level him up.

There commonly seem to be threads refering to SK use, so if I've missed something then I'm sure someone will point out the mistake.

 

Kelsey has issues with Anomen if you romance them.

 

IIRC, Anomen isn't in the party, or won't be for too long. Viconia is his cleric of choice. Another iirc, Kelsey will leave if you side with Bodhi.
