I found on Amazon.com the other day 2 new R.A. Salvatore novels coming soon. They are "War Of The Spider Queen" and "The Thousand Orcs." Does anyone know what these books will be about?

[IMG] Yes. (If I remember right, anyway.)

War of the Spider Queen will be an adventure (module) set in the Underdark.

The Thousand Orcs is supposed to be the next in the line of Drizzt novels.

Feel free to correct me if I remember wrong. ;)

Yes! More Drizzt! Thought the Sea of Swords would be the last one..

I think Salvatore said it won't even be about Drizzt at all. :p
I wonder who it'll focus on...

We can always hope it is about Jarlaxle and/or Entreri :D
Those two are the only cool characters that Salvatore have created.

Odd, I posted not too long ago asking about 'The Thousand Orcs" and I was told that it would be *exclusively* about Drizzt. Did I read the replies wrong?

[IMG] Ok, as I thought, I got it the other way around. It's ALL Drizzt, not NO Drizzt. :p

Here's the official word on the book:

They stole the title from Pratchett. It bloody well is a reference to the thousand elephants from Moving Pictures...

I have no idea if I can stomach reading the book.... Drizzt is annoying as Hell. He is way too boring, a goody-two-shoe... I wish he'd act like a proper drow in this book....

[IMG] Hmm... I'm actually looking forward to it. I think I understand some of the reasons why some folks in SP don't like the stories of Drizzt. :)

Me, I just like the way Salvatore describes his fight scenes (though he can be a bit of a ham).

Another author who describes combat very well IMO is Shura.

Arabwel: Indeed, Drizzt is far too... honorable for a drow.

I've only read one book that includes Drizzt (Homeland) and I already can't wait for these books... heh.

I, for one, am sick of Drizzt. The first trilogy was amazing and the rest of them have been good except for the Silent Blade and possibly the few I haven't read.

I found that The Spine Of The World was one of the worst books in the drizzt series
