New to Darkest Day

    Hello all. I was wondering if somone could help me here. I just installed Darkest Day for the first time with a few NPC mods to get a little change up from the game. I seemed to run into a problem how ever. I have bought the map fromt he salesman and the kinder has dropped his and I picked it up. I even ran into the woman who marks trollford hills on the map, but I dont see any of them...Purskul or trollford hills anywhere. I have tried playing along and going back in hopes that somthing will trigger them and I have walked through areas at differnt angles to see if it makes them appear like you had to do on occasion with BG, but nothing appears could I be bugged or am I just missing somthing ? I seem to be running into alot of problems the last two times I have played this game and I am starting to feel like I am becoming a pest here. I just hoped somone could give me a little help hopfully. Thank you

    So, here's the deal with Darkest Day: it's a fickle installation. There's lots of bugs -- NPCs, areas, items that doen't appear correctly (or at all).

    Now, I played it through several years ago, and really enjoyed it, but you essentially have to resign yourself to working around the bugs or trying a reinstall and hoping that fate has spared you this time around.

    By the way, this advice is more positive than that you'll get from many people: to uninstall immediately and wipe any hard drive that ever stored the abomination. :D

    Thank you. Unfortunatly the whole game crashed on me and completly screwed my comp so I had to restore and loose the game and start a new. Havent decided if I will reinstall or not. I appreciate the advice though.
