    Questions:

    1) I have Coran in my party. I entered the Wyvern cave and killed all the Wyverns I found. I figured Coran was all set and locked in my party. Now I'm in Baldurs gate and Coran mentions that he needs to get back to hunting Wyverns. Should i take him back to the cave? Anything else i may have missed?

    2) I cant remember their names but I got both bottles of antidote from my would-be assassins. The bottle i obtained from the blushing mermaid has the name of the assassin on it but the one i got by helping the other remove the geas had no name and is simply labelled "antidote" How do i use them? I had each of my party drink from blush-mer bottle = Nothing. Suggestions? My character hasnt had any dizzy spells so i presume he's cured but i didnt get a message stating he was nor did i get the Xp for completing that quest.

    3) I was toying with the idea of replacing Dynheir(lvl7) with Edwin. Most of my party are now at level 6. Problem is Minsc would leave if i dismissed her so the only way would be to get her killed. Is Edwin worth the swap?

    4) I've yet to assault the Iron Tower. Im trying to wrap up all the quests etc. Should i work on finishing the Sword Coast expansion missions prior before continuing on to the final chapter. I'm attempting to max out my characters since i will play BG2. Suggestions/criticisms?

    1) Did you take the Wyvern heads back to Keldath in the temple east of Beregost? That might be needed to shut Coran up.

    2) Don't worry - you're automatically cured once you complete the mission (IIRC), no need to even drink the antidote.

    3) Probably not. Whilst Edwin is the best pure class mage in the game, he's a right pain in the arse to keep in a good-aligned party. If you're not sure, you can kick Dynaheir out without killing her; just walk her alone into a building and then kick her out - she won't be able to reach you to take Minsc with her. Just watch out for potential conflicts with Minsc and Edwin.

    4) Well, there are a few missions to do, so don't feel compelled to do them all at once. Shandalar's mission is fairly straightforward, but the island mission is tougher, and Durlag's Tower harder again. Dip in and come back; they'll give you good XP and some items, but it's good to pace yourself so you don't overstretch your party.

    1. There are two wyvern caves. One that has the baby wyverns and another that has the body of a huge wyvern -- it's the second cave you need to clear (with Coran). Coran leaves fairly quickly after starting to complain. You may need to do a move to area cheat to get there fast enough.

    2. You should have gotten some notification. Perhaps it's in your journal. I would recommend you keep one saved game from right after getting the antidote -- just in case.

    3. If you talked to Edwin earlier, he may be at that earlier level (first or second). IIRC the NPC's do not level with you if they are not in the party AFTER you have talked with them. The first time you speak with the NPC the level is established based on your experience at that time.

    4. You should be powerful enough to do the quests at level 6-7. Once you max out your XP's you don't really need to do the rest of the game... unless you actually enjoy it. Also, there are two tomes that willl increase wisdom in TotSC -- if you're a cleric or druid you don't want to miss these (or mage for better wish results).

First of all - thanks for your replies. much appreciated.

I did clean out both caves but for some reason i couldnt pick up the wyvern heads- not selectable. I'll head back to the caves again just in case.

Yes i did speak to Edwin when i was lvl 4 so he may around that level if i try to recruit him now. Thanks for the tip. Maybe i'll keep moving with my current group ) I tried putting one character into a house and then leaving the area but the 2nd character (Khallid) quit after a short while. In the end I dumped them both and replaced the m with Yeslick and Coran.Group = me/Imoen/coran/Yeslick/Minsc/Dynheir)Imoen is dual classed into a mage at thief lvl 5 , She's now almost at lvl 6.

I think it's displayed in the subtitle box - a bit like when you're healed. Not sure about the Journal.

    1. You have to deliver a Wyvern Head to the Temple to finish Coran's quest, no matter where you got it. You can get more heads from travel encounters between Cloakwood areas or by getting interupted resting in the Wyvern Cave.

    2. When Marek is done talking in the BM and attacks you get the message that your party is healed, nothing further is required.
If you want to be sure just take your savegame and spend some time (eg by travelling great distances across the map). If you don't get a game over screen after 10 days or so everything is ok and you can reload your save.
If your party dies the game is broken, you'll have to reload a savegame before talking to Marek in the Blushing Mermaid Inn or use a cheat in order to continue.

    4. I recommend doing the TotSC quests after chapter 6.

    More questions.

I've got tons of cash and nothing interesting to spend it on. In TORMENT and ICEWIND DALE I was always trying to amass gold to buy that "special"item but in BG I have more than i need after purchasing what I want (so far) I'm back at Candlekeep and my gold amounts to over 80,000. I wonder if i should buy some potions/spells/missiles since i seem to have all the good weapons I need. Does the gold amount carry over to BG2? I doubt it unless i use GATEKEEPER. Suggestions?

The Coran-Wyvern thing is still in effect but now he brings up his wyvern hunt thing 1 every 3-4 days. He hasnt left yet so i guess its a bug. Also the end cutscene from werewolf island plays every now and then after i finished Durlags tower. i finished were island first. i get the departure from the island scene. Another bug.

Whats the max i can level up a character? I'm playing the expansion/original compilation. Most of my characters are now at level 8 with both mages (IMOEN, DYNHEIR) at lvl 9. Only Yeslick trails behind with lvl 7. Both mages have 5th lvl spells. At this rate I dobt i'd get 7 level spells.

    Thanks in advance

None of your characters will level up any more since the XP a character can have is capped 161,000.

thanks- my characters have reached 161,000. imoen is at 151,000 though. Should I use the experience cap remover? My mages are at 5th levels spells.

My cash is over 106,000 - I have all the potions/scrolls etc i need. Sigh

Where can i find Sarevok's house to complete the Plate+1 quest (Tomoko)?

Thanks for all your replies thus far folks

    Imoen is at 161,000. 151,000 (mage) + 10,000(thief) = 161,000
If you use an XPCap remover or not doesn't really matter, unless you start XP farming you won't reach higher levels before the game is over.
