Where does your nickname for Sorcerers come from? I was just wondering and if this has been posted before excuse me for not being totally with it.

 

Mine... I started out with Shadow Thief, then read some book who had the "Great Mother Goddess" so I turned it into Shadow Goddess. Bloody obvious, eh?

Well, my nickname is the first syllable of my last name

All my friends at school call me it, even my girlfriend calls me it I've just grown up with it, so used to it now, and there's only one Herf in the world and I love it, I can never be mistaken with anyone else

 

An antipaladin-esque group from DragonLance fiction were called the "Knights of the Black Rose."

Since then I've shortened it to TBR in some mediums, for efficiency.

and yes, this is about the 3rd topic on this subject.

I couldn't think of one when I first got here, so I loged off and went to read my BGII manual (that I had just bought) and I came across mine in the bard section.

Well I stole mine completly from Zaknafein in the Drizzt books. Very orriginal of me I know.

It's the same with me, DeBhaal Stasion. I finished the BG saga with Uytuun, and ever since I'm using it as a nickname.

 

My first charachter.

 

I was Yappie, because well..that's my nickname. Not for the reason I talk a lot!. It was then changed to Gopher. I don't actually know why. So don't ask.
I'm just Gopher.
It's so darn annoying though! Everyone seems to mistake me for some 8year old who put 'Gopher' as his nickname and can't play DnD. I've played D&D for a few years now.
Grrrr... I'll be waiting another year to change the name now....*sigh*

 

Well to make a long story short:

My nick comes from cereals! To prove it, i have picture of it. Why? That is that long story!

P.S. I think i mentioned it before but i'm not sure.

 

Well I have to say it came from the Thorin from the hobbit.

 

Well, 8people you already know where mine came from.

You see, I live drawing, and I was doodling around during French, And I started to draw a dragon. Unfortunately, it turned out looking like some old dinosaur, not a bad pic, I might add.

But it looked really boreing, so to liven it up, I gave it some stripes. And then showed it to 8people who was sitting right next to me. She said it looked like Tigger from Whinnie the Pooh (sp???).

And so evolved, DinoTigggy.

But I am thinking about chaging my name to Frostbite, if it's possible.

 

Mine came from my first character in BG, a dwarf of course...but now, I'm beginning to wish I'd used the name of one of the characters I use most..like Keswyn Skymane (my elf) or Samarin Durhelm (paladin)..

 

Silverblade is my real name.

 

Lynx was the last name of my first character and Serena was an NPC my dad used a long time ago. I just put the two together. Kinda unoriginal, I know.

 

Oblate is just one of my RPGnames. They have to include bla. Bla means kind of nothing in german. Oblate is german and means wafer. But i never play priests. My other most beloved name is Blatane which is an incorrect writing of the german word for plane tree.

 

My story in Creativity Surge sparked my name, not the other way around. As for where THAT came from...who knows?
