Does anyone use them or should I ignore them? There's plenty of casters in the game for them to eat?
I already have Mordenkainen's sword so I have that spell covered already. Took that 1st chance I had. Love that baby!
I'm mapping out a dragon disciple so I need to be specific with my spell selection.

You guys/gals have given me lists of spells to get for each level but I'm curious why you don't use those 2 spells??

Summon Nishru and Hakeashar should have a use, but they're rather situational. If you lose an item with charges or get a spell drained, it's a bit of a pain, but an enemy spell caster only has use for his spellbook for a single encounter. Neither Nishru or Hakeashar will drain many spells from a spell caster, so are of limited use.

In BG2, many spell casters have scripted spells, so against them they're completely useless.

That aside, for a sorcerer or dragon disciple, with their limited spell selection, there's many different spells that are more useful to select instead, especially at these levels.
