Is anyone else happy that *REAL* music is making a comeback? :)

Actually, while I respect Led it is a bit sad. Rock has fallen to the point where it competes by offering new releases of music 30 years old.

There is still a lot of good rock music but you better know how to search it out yourself because it rarely gets the airplay of boybands, dance offs, and the latest surgically enhanced teenager.

Like Sir Belisarius said in this post: It's hard to make a comeback, when you haven't been anywhere.

Music like Zeppelin never went away. They might not have made new songs, but people never stopped listening to it. Stairway to Heaven is still on one of the highest places of the most popular songs ever. Maybe with new releases of old albums, 'the oldies' will get more followers and people stop listening to that commercialized junk they call music nowadays.

I like Led Zeppelin (I only have one album, but thats beside the point ;) ), and I, for one, am happy "real" music as Mathetais put it is making a come back.

Completely off topic, but related to Led Zep, did you know that Jimmy Page (Led Zep's god of a guitarist *drool*) produced Eric Claptons first solo album.

I've been to an AC/DC concert 2 years ago, that was quite cool. :) I bought some CD's of them, they really rock while driving.

I think it's great the Zeppelin is back on top even if it will be for a short time. As soon as I get to a chance I will be doing my part to keep it on top.

I have to say that i'm loving this resurge of interest in "classic"rock. IMHO todays music kinda' sucks. there's a few good songs i've heard here and there, but not many.

I was very happy with this latest Zepplin release, as well as the new Fleetwood Mac back in april.

I have the complete Led Zeppelin discography, I just love them, they have incredibly influenced my musical style, and I think that there are almost no guitar riffs in modern rock that haven't been played by Sir Paige the great previously. ;) :D
