No additional rewards in the illithium quest.

    DSimpson walkthrough:

"If you are a Cleric, you will be given an additional reward. You get to pick from these three items:

Ring of Holiness (1 extra spell for spell levels 1-4)
Armor of Faith (AC 1, +1 to saving throws)
    Staff Spear (1d8+3)"

Two times I have done this quest with clerics. First with a cleric of Helm and second time with a priest of Lathander and never did I get to choose these nice gifts. What is the problem?

I give the artist the real illithium. Do you get these wonderful presents only if you give the church the fake illithium and drive the artist away?

I would like to have one of these items, damn it!

I gave the fake ilithum to artist, he got angry and went away! (good riddance)

Yes, you should not have given the true ilithum to Sarles! :shake: Suprisingly, this works very well for churches of Lathander and Helm, they are over joyed by some turn of events (you must see it! :shake: ) and prize you with one of those items. (pick the ring, others suck!) Then use the ilithum to upgrade something, which you will need in the future. (no spoilers! :p )

I do not know about Talos temple though, they may have...different tastes.

Never knew you could get those items by doing that annoying quest. Now I'm gonna have to give it another try. ;)

Whether you do it right or not, you get the choice. But only if you've taken them as your stronghold.

I have the Multiple Strongholds component installed too...and I always get the the choice of the three items.

Like Fel said, you have to have to accept the cleric stronghold first, right after you clear out the Cult of the Unseeing Eye. :thumb:

Since we're on the Cleric stronghold topic anyways, may I take the liberty of inquiring as to why my R/C got sodded off with the "had you been a more spiritual- blah blah" speech when I finished the Unseeing Eye quest?

No, I had not accepted the ranger stronghold, and yes, I probably have to many mods.

Then again, I had *started* the Umar Hills quest, (albeit just barely. I had entered the Old temple to fetch Mazzy) would this be enough to prevent me from accepting the Cleric stronghold aswell?

Well, seeing you did begin the quest, it could very well be the reason.

Actually, it seems to be a bit of an oversight in the game. It checks for cleric, F/C, C/M, C/T, & F/M/C, but not R/C. Ranger/Clerics are just out of luck. The biggest in-game clue that it wasn't going to happen would have been when you were contacted by a priest of Helm (neutral) rather than a priest of Lathander (good).

I thought those items were a reward from the Cleric stronghold, and had nothing to do with Sir Sarles...
