Well, Airbus of France finally unveiled their flagship airliner boasting an 800 passenger capacity! The Full Double-Decked "super-jumbo" jet has a 262 foot wing span, and took over 13 billion just to develop. Airbus has 149 jets on order, none of which are from any American companies.

The airports this monster lands at will not only need re-enforced runways, but modifications to the terminals will be needed as well to accommodate its weight and double-deck loading.

Hopefully in time more airports will be able to accommodate the jet and it will bee seen more often. The price in airfare should drop as well since they can seat as much as two jets.

    Your thoughts? :rolling:

You can fly twice as often on the same plane. I like it.

Aparently Adelaide (my city) has a runway wide enough for it to land and take off, all that needs to be done is move the runway lights a furthur 1.5 meters apart! - this made page 3 in our newspaper!
