NPC Follower Riana

Yup. That's right - an NPC Follower who's not on the list of available NPCs.

If you have modded your game so you can go into the brothel, you'll find Riana in the room behind the stairs on the second floor. Naturally, you have to pay the 50gp to talk to her, but here's the trick:

1) Acquire Serena as a follower.

2) Go into the brothel, pay your 50, and tell Ophelia that you'd like her to recommend a girl for you. (Choice 5, if I remember right, in the dialogue list.)

3) Go up to Riana's room (behind the stairs, remember), and talk to her. She'll see that Serena is in your party and offer to join you.

She's a 2nd level rogue, and comes absolutely naked - not even clothes, let alone weapons, armor, or theive's tools - so taking her is purely a roleplay choice, unless you really like the idea of having two rogue followers in your party. And don't forget to have a spare set of clothes with you, unless you like the idea of your follower parading around naked until you get her somewhere you can equip her.

So far, I've not regretted taking either of them.

 

Yeah, I just did that, kind of by accident. Earlier, I'd taken Serena, then changed her to a sorcerer on leveling up. She had pretty good charisma. Have you discovered any stats on Riana yet? What would she be good to dual to?

If you get tired of them looting all the good stuff, give them a bunch of cheap scrolls to fill up their backpack slots. Be sure to drop them everytime you go to a store, because they'll sell everything that they didn't come equipped with that's in their backpacks. Another slight grudge on Serena is that she won't drop her leather armor, and isn't strong enough to carry two armors unencumbered, if you decide to upgrade her from leather armor.

 

I think I'm going to have to check the next time I pick her up. I managed to get them both killed in the guards tower (not that I'm complaining, since by then I had added a PC bard who could handle the rogue chores).

 

I got Riana without Serena-though I freed Serena later after I got Riana- then I booted out Riana because I'm already carrying 6 people- I used the mod to start with 5 and picked up the ball-and-chain Fruella-who is a decent fighter. But I definitely think you can now get Riana-in just her underwear without doing anything with Serena first.
