number of characters

    Were there ever any mods that allowed you to just play 8 characters. Since you can have 5 characters and up to 3 NPC's I thought I would ask. I am old school 1e and used to the 8-9 characters they used then.

    [​IMG] Have you tried using the Circle of Eight mod? That allows you to alter the ratio of NPCs to PCs via the front end it uses.

    Sweet, just ordered the game. I had an ealier version a while back but I keep thinking it only had 4 characters and 2 NPC's, could be wrong. With the great mod pack that fixed the bugs I hated I decided to play again. If I can alter it to give me 8 PC's that would be beyond great. Thanks

    Yep, the front end that the Co8 pack uses allows you to adjust the ratio of PCs and NPCs up to a total of 8, so you can have as few as 3 PCs or as many as 8. Just what you've been looking for, and very easy to adjust to boot! :)

    Ok, I have installed the game, patches 1 and 2 and the Co8 mod. I go to the front end and alter the number of players to 7(still want to rescue Thrommel for the reward) and then save it and start the game. I only have 5 slots for the party show up. I can add a total of 7 characters but 2 don't show up down below. When I go to the startup scene only the first 5 characters are there. Am I doing something wrong? How do I get the game to allow me to start with 7 characters other than what I already did?

    Ok, I ripped everything out and reloaded it. It works now, don't know what I did to screw it up the first time.
