NWN: Kingmaker & FR: Demon Stone Nominated for Interactive Achievements Awards

    The Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences has nominated the Kingmaker premium module for Neverwinter Nights for Roleplaying Game of the Year. I didn't know it was a game, I thought it was a module. At any rate, read the announcement at emma. Forgotten Realms: Demon Stone has also been nominated in 4 (?!) categories: Outstanding Character Performance – Male, Outstanding Character Performance – Female, Outstanding Achievement In Visual Engineering and Outstanding Achievement In Character Or Story Development.

    It is just a module, so how they could put it in the same category as standalone games is anyone's guess. Not that this is the only oddity on that list... Considering what Demon Stone got nominated for, you really have to wonder whether these people were just desperate to put something, ANYTHING on that list, or if they really thought Demon Stone deserves those nominations (which is a much scarier thought). All in all, it just shows the amount of desperation in the (action) adventure / CRPG genre.
