[IMG] Have many ppl bought Nwn in the US yet? I imagine so, well does anyone like the BG2 Rule Set better? Some thing in NWN are too biga-changes. BG2 Stats are much better with the way they are handled, and just about everything is handled differently. Actually to tell you the truth I dont like 3D ad&d as much as the 2D ones :p Dont ask me why, I simply like the look of BG2 better over NWN.

Anyone agree or disagree? I truley hope IWD2 Uses the bg2 ruleset

Bleh, didn't even know it was out yet. Neverwinter and Icewind 2 both use the third edition rules, which make much more sense than the old ones. So better get used to them.

[IMG] You have just got used to BG cause you probably spent 99% of your life playing since you bought it, so nwn has confused you as you have not experienced 3rd editon D&D, but after while i assure you, you'll grow to love it, and think how you will ever did without it.

  4. Oh well, I hated the 3rd ed the first time I played it, but now it's cool enough. But i prefer 2nd ed.

I have no idea how many points either Neverwinter or Icewind 2 will use, but even if the totals are different, they still use the same rules. Attribute points have nothing to do with the rules, the DM in normal D&D can alter the points depending on his campaign, or make stats a random roll as in BG.

I'm really not sure what to do with this thread... So I'll leave it where it is.

As for rules, NWN and IWD2 again don't use all and unchanged 3rd ed rules. Those changes were "blessed" by WotC. So you won't have the same rules in NWN and IWD2.

And looks of BG2 I'll also put in front of looks of NWN. It's just that surround (areas) in NWN looks too poor.
