[IMG] The rule books have no title pages. Am I insufferably trivial to even notice that?

It's odd. Why no title page?

What do you mean by title page? A page with nothing but a title? Or a page that has a chapter number and title on it? If the former, they probably didn't want to waste any space. If it's the latter, the core rule books (PHB & DMG) do indeed, it's just that the title is sideways on the right hand side of the right hand page, and each page after it has a small inset on the side indicating chapter and title. For example, page 7 of the PHB has "ABILITIES Chapter One".

A page with nothing on it but the title, essentially. Every other book in the world has this, but WOTC doesn't want to waste... one page?

Perhaps I am ruined by advanced age for PnP. Because every time I am thinking about D&D, and go to consult the rule book, I think, "Look at that. No title page." My willingness to suspend disbelief suffers.

Your 'willingness to suspend disbelief' suffers because there are no title pages? Oh boy. Maybe you should glue in a few empty pages if it's so important.

Hmm ... why do't you look at either the contents page or index to find what you are looking for?

  7. Nothing is impossible. If there is a problem, fix it. If there is no title page, make one.

I've actually never noticed, and indeed really never cared. But *ahem*... That indeed hasn't stricken me odd.
