Old game, new computer

    I know this question will have been asked many times but I cant't find the definitive answer on previous posts (because the term "XP" has too many meanings).

    I have never played the original Baldur's Gate but you guys rave about how classic it so I thought I'd better try it. Before I do, will there be any problems running this old Win 95 game on a modern Windows XP PC?

    Anything that runs on Windows 95 and up should run on XP because even though it's an NT OS, it has "Compatibility Mode", which you can select by right-click, then properties.

    BG1 won't be a problem though. I've ran it on most versions of windows (not ME, which I won't give the satisfaction) and it runs fine.

    I can tell the same. I have tested the game on Windows 95, 98, 2000, Millenium and XP.
    Display configuration wasn't a problem either.

    On my computer it works well with only BG + Totsc installed, but when i install any mod, the game seems to go a bit slower, like it jumps somethimes over the screen.
    I keep having the same with BGII, does anyone know why that happens?
