    Getting married to someone that I didn't love anymore. There's a tie with that, and not finishing college the first go-around, but I think the marriage left more emotional scars.

    I've made so many I can't count -- relationships I should have ended sooner, relationships I never should have started, some that I should have pursued but I didn't. I could have worked harder at school, opened more doors there.

    Yet, I have no regrets in the sense that there's nothing I did that I think was incredibly, horribly bad or earthshattering. I've often heard people say they have no regrets at all , and that's fine in the sense I mentioned, but no one has lead a perfect life, and anyone who looks back without noticing a few rough edges that could have been polished is blind.

    Hitting my mother. and saying some things I am not repeating. Ever.

    I was young and I was dumb as a **** ( I censor it already) but it does not excuse it... nor does how much I was hurting myself. Nothing could excuse what I did.

    (I shall return to edit... for now forces other than elves demand I leave)

    I agree with Depaara. While there are a few choices I'd make differently with the benefit of hindsight, nothing has been that dreadful. Besides, I really like my present and I wouldn't risk changing it to correct a few bad decisions.

    Something I've dared tell only one person I know. And even though I told him that 8 years ago and he's still my best friend and hasn't betrayed me, I regret I told him. Believe it or not, there are ways to bring such shame and dishonour even in an age and country almost free of the concept of hounour that you can tell no-one of it.
