[IMG] Ok, so I got this Elven Ranger, the cool kind, and he is really good at lvl9. I chose the Archery Feature, and boy, he can stomp on those Hill Giants. (Nice Loot, those)

I have Manyshot activated all the time, and I always get this nifty sound, that is supposed to sound like two arrows shot at once.

Now, last fight I had the Roll Window open, and he shoots - scores, shoots - scores. First Enemy dead, a wall in the way, so I move to get the second one in sight. Still being able to attack I am kinda frustrated for getting only one attack, so he shoots and scores and... oh... he hits twice. In the Rolls Window, it says "... uses Manyshot". Ok. I never saw that before, scrolling back, he never used it.
So, basically, everytime I get my two attacks per round, he won't use Manyshot, if I get only one, he uses it. Doesn't that totally nullify the sense of Manyshot?

Anyone else encounter that, or is it just me?

    Edit: I forgot one "."

High level rangers get two attacks per round, so he fires twice. When using Manyshot feat, every shot he makes, will have two to-hit rolls. If both are hits, it will do two damage rolls. If you only got one hit, it will give one damage roll. Manyshot means he will fire two arrows at the same time. Manyshot has to be activated from the radial menu in order for it to work. If I remember correctly, there is a little to-hit penalty for using it.

EDIT: If it doesn't work like that, then you have encountered one of many bugs.

In the Feat Description it says specifically:

"When making a standard attack with a bow against an opponent within 30 feet, you fire two arrows at once. Both arrows use the same attack roll (at a -4 penalty) to determine success and deal damage normally"

So it's a bug. Great. It also works if I use a single attack, but then I still can't use my second attack, with the same result: Manyshot is the same as two attacks per round, only at a -4 penalty.

This stinks... I still love my ranger.

Edit: Actually Manyshot is worse than two attacks. With two attacks per round you at least have a slight chance to score two criticals, Manyshot applies critical damage only to one arrow. BTW, Taking Rapid Shot makes much more sense at the moment.
