[IMG] Okay, first, please don't get into any debate that will put this in the AOLS. This was an e-mail that was forwarded to me and I'm not even sure if it's real, but it's just so damn funny.

Another thing, don't mistake this for "America Bashing" on my part because it's not. I just find his comments so damn funny, so if anybody is offended, let me apologize in advance, that's not my intention.

That said, go ahead and read it. It's hilarious imo :D

Funny, but not by John Cleese. There are also several shorter and longer versions at Snopes (which I'm sure have also been posted here before).

    Dear Mr. Cleese,

Let it be known that this ex-patriot American can pronounce your name correctly.

    Cheers!

I love it, even though it's not by John Cleese. It gets even funnier if you imagine Cleese reading it out loud.

...I wonder what kind of festival a person would throw on Indecisive Day, and how they would ever get the planning done for it.

They'd still buy fireworks (after an huge amount of time to mull it over then just throw random ones in a basket), but sit there and look at them and the pictures of the explosions trying to decide which one to let off first. By the time any idea is conclusively decided upon, it's way too late as the rest of the crowd gathered have fallen asleep...

Otherwise, Many good ideas Mr. Cleese. Although merging them with Canada (Yes, we really do exist, for the benefit of that 97.9% of Americans who've been taught that Canada is only a fairy tale) would aid them in transition. Then, after 10 years or so, the full re-integration with England can occur. Canada is included in this as well for their failure to elect competent leaders. Quebec, like Utah, would not be included because their language is too hard to bridge to the Queen's English. It will not be ceded to France as they have no Idea what they are saying either...

Yes, and you know what happened to last tax collectors that were sent in 1776... I'm told that tar and feathers really do come off - eventually
