In the Ice Temple..... I fought the battle with Oria. She broke her staff and disappeared into the ethereal plane, but never attacked us any further. I went over to the game room and pressed Mode Selector #1 to Inner Sanctum and didn't touch Mode Selector #2. We were transformed into the ethereal plan, but Oria never appeared. We are now scouring the place looking for her. I also saved over the previous game, so to go back would lose all the Ice Palace activity so far. Has anyone else experienced this?

I also checked Ex's sticky on the BIS boards, which mentioned the patch....but I already have that...so that's not it.

    Need help!

Have you tried exiting the game, and coming back in? Something like that happened to me, and I exited and came back in and voila! Problem solved. If that doesn't work, I can't help ya, sorry.

BIS boards are no longer. Forget anything that is posted there.

That problem is not solved with the patch. Check if Faerus' suggestion works and post that here. If it doesn't work, use this console command:
    ctrlaltdelete:SetGlobal("ORIAESSENCE_DEAD","GLOBAL",1)
This command will enable you to proceed with the game.

I tried shutting down and doing a restart....no effect there. I also executed the console command, went to the game room and entered the Inner Sanctum, but she *still* does not appear. By executing that command, does the game assume the battle ALREADY ocurred and we can move forward, or that she should appear and we need to proceed with the full battle?

With this command executed the game will assume you've killed Oria's essence although you've never seen it.
Why such command? Because there is no way to create creatures from the IWD2 console.
