George W. Bush at the first debate

Just an interesting link from my friend, wasn't sure if this should go into Whatnots because it so weird.
If this is Alley material, by all means move it.

Pretty interesting stuff, eh? I did notice a lot of that in the debate, so I wanted to know what others here think.

I think this may be Alley material. However, if the best he could do at the first debate with prompting was that horrible showing, by all means let him keep up the prompting.

Now the question is, who was prompting him?

Was it a team of speechwriters in a van outside or was it Dick Cheney in an undisclosed location?

I have read about this elsewhere and I really do not think it is anything. I seem to remember that suit jackets usually have a crease right there. Man, I am turning into a Bush defendant. This cannot stand!

Bush is SATAN! SATAN I TELL YOU! ;)

our comments have been redirected to this thread folks so I am copying and pasting my little statement:
I heard today on they radio that he was wearing a mic. Regardless of who you like or dislike, there is not way President Bush can possibly win a round of verbal darts with Kerry. Not because the man is stupid, he just does not have the vocabulary or the ability to make it work for him. Otherwise, he is not a good Orator. People here in the U.S. who support him I believe think he is more down to earth because of his "um's" and pauses during speeches. They like to defend him on his action and not words. But yep, I think the old man had enough electronics on him to start up a Karaoke concert in the debate

Anyway, this is no suprise to me, because:
    He is stupid
He takes unnaturaly long breaks in his speech (the guy with the mic probably drinks coffee and has to go to the bathroom... or something)

I agree with him not having the vocabulary and such, but I disagree about it not being due to his stupidity. He is the president, if he cant speak, what does he bring to the table? I cant think of one thing he is good at (well I'm no expert but still), besides having "connections"!

You know folks...there are pictures that show Kerry with similar gear...it just doesn't show as much because he's taller. Also, Bush, as President, has equipment that will allow him to be notified in the event of an emergency...like someone flying airplanes into a building.

Get over it...and watch Fox News.

Or in the event that he's getting trounced in a debate....

not to mention the 50 secret service men who scream in his face and are jumping on top of him even if someone farts to loud in the front row.

Yes, he needs to know of an emergency immediately, because we know it takes him seven minutes to do anything in the event of an emergency. If we delayed getting the information to him, every second would be a second lost, and the seven minute moratorium on action of course would still be in effect.
