I'm creating a new character that I will use for online play, High Lord Eltharion, a High Elven (elf sub-class) paladin 30/ CoT 10. I really need help as to what the stats should be... I want him to be strong in his paladin abilities but also a meatgrinder to boot. Also, what feats should I take in the beginning?

And what do you guys think of this short bio? It still needs work, I'm not much of a writer, and I'm only 14, so don't laugh at it ;)

The High Lord Eltharion is a devoted follower of Torm and takes painstaking care to do his god's bidding and to help other beings. He rules and takes care of the High Elven island of Taelfalas, a beautiful land full of wildlife, magic, and Elven song and poetry.
The High Elves are the most secluded of all the elven races- even more so than the elusive Wild Elves and perhaps even the dreaded Demons, the drow. They are also the most noble, and, as some would say, exquisitely arrogant. Taelfalas is hidden from both natural and magical eyes, thanks to Torm's blessing.
In order to stay in their god's favor, many Champions of Torm are trained and educated upon this holy island. They venture out into the world and perform sacred deeds, combat Abyss-spawn and foul monstrosities, and perform conversions. Eltharion is the master of the Temple-Academy, also known as the White Tower. He oversees the training and initiation of new students who take vows to perform the tasks assigned to them either by Torm himself or the High Lord.
The High Lord is always called upon to perform the greatest heroic acts for the God of Guardians, and when he leaves on a mission, he may be absent for several months or even years. During his absence, his brother Tylvanel, the High Loremaster of the White Tower, takes over the governing duties while constantly studying and gathering knowledge that would help Torm's cause and benefit the lives of the noble High Elves.

Any advice/revisions would be GREATLY appreciated.

P.S. wasn't sure if this should go into this forum or Online Adventures, so correct me if I'm wrong.

You'd better come up with a good excuse for a traditional-style elven society to worship a Lawful human deity. As for an elven paladin, it's like with all elven warriors - they are supposed to rely on technique more than muscle mass and agility more than endurance. Doesn't mean they can't be strong or durable, of course.

Ok, after I gave it some thought, I decided to ditch Elf and make him human. Elves just aren't suited for being paladins (both game- and RP- wise). And besides, I really couldn't come up with a good excuse for him being lawful, really.

So if anyone could just help me with the character... I don't need you to give me a "build", just a few tips and suggestions would be fine. I'm also not sure on how to distribute the levels.

Well, it depends on how much of the spellcasting of the Paladin you want. IMHO, there is not much point in taking your Paladin levels past 20. So my suggestion would be to make the levels 20/20.

Just give your Paladin 14 wis at start and leave it at that. It covers all spellcasting you'll ever need. Focus on Charisma, but don't neglect strength and constitution. Make good use of the smiting, the turning and the two divine feats (shield and might). The CoT side should give you enough feats to do whatever you want with the char.
