[IMG] Ok, has anyone found every part to the sword yet? I forgot the name of the thing... hopefully I'm not rambling like a jackass here and having everyone go "huh?". How good is it? Do you have to search and luckily find the parts like you did in BG1 with the ring of wizardy and other items or do you get it through quests?

... just some more questions =)

[IMG] I don't know what I'm talking about!!! =) I know early on I found a piece of a sword that can be put together by some dwarf. I know I'm vague right now. I'll fire up the game this weekend and put a more INTELLIGENT post in here =)

If you are talking about the equaliser (the pommel stone in Irenicus's dungeon) then take the bits -once you've found them ;) to Cromwell at the docks

[IMG] Ok, having heard that, yes that's the one I'm talking about. Now, how hard is it to find all the pieces and is it worth it? I've got a sneaky feeling this is necessary to win the game, but I could be wrong...

Naaa, it's not necessary to have the equalizer to win the game. There are some other posts (you may wish to search the board here) that actually *Spoil* the locations. However I'll let you know that you wont get a chance to actually 'have it put together' until Chap 6. Yep, 1 chapter away from the 'end of game'.

I had it put together the first time I went through BG2, but my second time (I raced through it) I played a Monk who didn't use weapons -other than his fist that is. Therefore I sold the pieces of the sword.

[IMG] Well if you want to be totally spoiled but much better equipped, check www.sorcerers.net/Games/BG2/itemguide.php

Locations of practically all unique weapons in the game, plus their stats are listed there.
