I have been remaking a few of my characters to make them better races e.g changing my tiefling wizard to drow and halfling thief to tiefling. All because of replies to posts on this forum.

So while i was at it i decided to change my shield dwarf fighter to a duergar fighter(is this worth it, is the immunity to paralyzation and invisibility worth the penalties). But then i remembered that people said that i should have made my fighter Fighter4/BarbarianX so should i do this? is it more powerful? Also if you don't think the fighter is any use what should i put in?

Also what feats do i need i cant get all the ones i had as fighter so which are the most important.

    His stats are:
    STR:18(all extra points here)
    CON:20
    DEX:18
    WIS:10
    INT:8
    CHR:2.
But i am not sure if i should minus 4 WIS and a CHR to put into INT so that he can take expertise as a feat. Is expertise worth the loss of will saves by 2?? I could just take the feat to boost will saves but do i have enough feats??

I already have a mage, thief, paladin, cleric, druid. They all have maxed out CON and main atribute with also maxed out STR for everyone but thief and mage(mage also has 18 DEX)the only exception is the Paladin. He has the max STR but only 14CHR and 16WIS(for level 6 spells).

Any suggestions changes to any of the characters i would like though no matter what i want to have a character with mostly paladin levels. As though i am slightly focusing on power play as that is what the game requires in HoF mode. Yet my main character has always been a paladin except in NWN as they were bad in that.

So please any character any help.

I'm not too sure about a duergar dwarf. Paralysation doesn't happen that often and invisibility? didn't know that was ever a problem. I have to say I used a shield dwarf because they generally make the best straight fighters. Why a druid? A cleric can handle all the healing requirements. You'd be better off taking another tank into HOF. Trust me... you'll need it. The thief isn't strictly necessary, so If you use him, turn him into your diplomat, etc. That way you can keep your tanks topped up on offense.

The druids for offensive spells(firestorm rules) which my cleric of tempus lacks and the thief is for scout and backstab. Should i change his skills or even class?? I want to be able to maek it through HoF.

The problem with a thief and backstab is that you regularly get swamped with enemies, often after you've just entered an area. In this case you have no preperation time. Backstab can be effective, but if you fail to hide in shadows, he is quickly redundent. I like the idea of an offensive druid, though never used one myself.
Just FYI, the party I used was a shield dwarf fighter(pure class), human Cleric of tempus, Drow wizard, Human Paladin(Really necessay for that weapon!), Human thief(used as an archer and for traps, but nothing else), Half-orc Barbarian.
Basicall I used four tanks for the fighting and the wizard to fry their butts from the back. I'm still not sure what I use my thief for though?

Should i kick out the Rogue and put a Sorcerer(or some other class maybe even a cleric of lathendar or bard)???.

And is the immunity from paralyzation of the deurgar like freedom of movement so he cant be entangled/held/stunned??? or does it mean theres a separate ability called paralyzation hes immune to??

    Please reply someone soon

A cleric of lathander could be a good choice. If you used him as a healer, your cleric of tempus could switch to offensive spells. Don't get disheartened on a rogue, as I did complete HOF with one in my party. On that note, you don't want to start HOF with many level 1 players. I started it with 1 and it was a struggle till he got up to level 12. (That was my paladin).
Personally, I'd take a duergar and multiclass him into a fighter/thief. That way you can free up your rogue slot for another class.
