[IMG] Though I'm still halfway through my first crack at SoA (I'm sure there will be others!), I've installed ToB (for the Watcher's Keep dungeon) and have since begun experiencing a really annoying problem.
My party consists my PC (level 13 mage, chaotic good), Minsc, Keldorn, Jaheira, Aerie and Nalia. I'm using the 3x2 group formation but Jaheira and Aerie seem to always "pause" themselves. That is they walk some steps, then stop, and I have to click repeatedly now to get them anywhere. My other party members are unaffected. BioWare's site has described this and suggested closing background applications etc. but a) I'm on Win XP, b) I've tried it c) it only affects those two in my party, rest of the game is fine. I've checked autopause is off, neither have any abnormal items on their person nor ailments or spell effects. Anyone experienced something similar? I had no trouble before installing ToB. Any help would be appreciated. I've also installed ToB 26498 patch and baldurdash's bugfix 1.12, and have tried dumping them from the party and bringing them back, and killing and resurrecting them, nada.

Although you're still in SOA (but in Watchers Keep) I think youre supposed to post this in the TOB forum in case its something to do with the installation of TOB specifically. My money's on Windows XP, though.

Thats an awesome party, by the way.

Firstly; this should be posted in the ToB forum instead of here.
And secondly: try a search before you ask questions, this have been answered before.
But i am happy today so i will try to help you. Well, i am not sure i can though... Never experienced this myself, but i recall seeing something about a patch to stop people from "studdering". As i said, try the search option it should give you the link to the fix.

    (DAMN, simoultaneous(sp) posts! :p )

[IMG] Thanks for the tips guys, will do on the search...glad I'm not the only one. I didn't know there was a different notice board for ToB but will keep that in mind....I'm a new poster here....that is someone who posts, no an actual poster...that anyone might want me stuck to their wall is beyond me!
And yeah I like the party...Minsc and Keldorn (Minsc dual weilding Cel. Fury and Daystar, and Keldorn with Carsomyr) are prety rock hard. I'm considering trading Aerie in for Korgan though...heard he's a tough one....my mage handles the spellcasting, Jaheira the healer, Nalia the thief...just some more strong ones out fron would be nice.

Thank you for that. I am new to here and didn't realise there was a separate board.
Annoyingly problem still persists...with just those two NPCs. Interestingly, they are fine on earlier save games...tried a search to no affect. The closest thing was at BioWare where it said something like carrying too many containers (gem bags, scroll cases, etc)...anyone had that trouble before?

    kingsgambit,

evidentally one thing that can cause this pause-walk-pause problem is the patch that allows multiple romances. It was written for SOA and is not fully compatible with TOB.

The clue is that only potential romance partners are affected by the stutter, as in your case.

If you've installed the romance patch then it might be worth deleting it and see if that helps.
